Let's say I put a link to my site on a forum. This link will redirect users to my site only if it is google bot, if it's a random user from the forum (a moderator for eg lol) they will be redirected to another legit page to prevent them from suspecting I'm doing backlinking.
Is it still working ? I mean will I get the backlinking juice to Google's eye and benefit from it for my rankings?
Thanks

Anything, That is linked to website and live and stereo plus indexed that is called a backlinks in a Google Eye!

What if you can and the answers are no? You should always keep rising up sites and do things you are unsure of on them.

It could easily work. You can also mask it into the question or something, and later require thread to be locked and then remove cloaking after a while when thread is gone from pages 1 2 in the subforum.

Thanks guys that's cool if it still works. It's an old technique.

Why the hassle of doing all of this if you can just cloak the link as I mentioned in the OP and let it live its life :)

It worked before works and now, but the weight - now the weight of the link without behavioral is very small.
Therefore, you will put such links, but the ranking will gain the final page will be very slow, not like before.

Be careful, cloaking won't work long-term. Google can penalizes for it, and if caught, you risk losing rankings or being deindexed. It's better to use legitimate backlinking strategies.

What do you mean, a forum link has not much weight I know, but a dof*llow link is still a cool link. Do you mean cloaking will make it weaker?

yep but I can't see how google can detect this

thanks. I just have to figure out how to put a link that doesn't pick up mod's attention :)

It used to be a link with the text of the query from the top forums to get to the top 10 - you needed 4 links.
Now 35-60.
Without anchor to gain page ranking and it itself began to rank in the top 20 by text - 10-15 links, now 100-180 links.
That's how it is.

Hi, I have been reading your posts and it's really interesting. I have some project where I need your expertise. Can we connect? Please share your contact information and together we can do big game.

You can manipulate the URL so it reads something totally different. This can be done with a formula or code within an excel doc. I have played with it a little in Chatgpt. I use this at my job, the developers I work with had created this in a spreadsheet. Basically we'll take a youtube video link and rename with our domain name.

Ok that's actually a very interesting idea, what about:

You can have the link links to a live page, you can then modify that link as a redirection a few months afterward? That way you can avoid links removal from the forum moderator(s).

Theoretically, your method work but it is hard to redirect all Google Bots. The whole list is here, whether all these bots share information with each other not, we don't know, maybe yes, maybe no.

There is a also fat chance that there are unknown bots operating in the background that the public is not aware of. Therefore, the risk is certainly present.

Thanks i Will ask chatgpt to see how to do this, seems very interesting. For the moment I'm using a fake URL shortener and it works pretty fine, I've even got nice wikipedia links thanks to this, but they are nofollow unfortunately as you know.

Yes I'm using this list, and asked chatgpt to code a script that redirects visitors based on this.
I checked with a browser add-on to change my user agent and put Google's one, it wotks fine. But you're certainly right we can't know all their user agents or ips.

What forums are so good these days for all this work

Is this using a normal cloaking script?
