Contacting pizza restaurant owners to put flyers stuffed with ads in their pizza boxes is a known offline method to male money... But what instead of flyers you just had the whole pizza box printed for the business?

I looked up some prices and they're from .10 for small boxes to .50 for the big boxes.

What if you just had the ads printed on the box for the pizza place?
They'll be pleased to get free pizza boxes, while advertisers will be pleased to pay you for their ad printed on these boxes.

Just wondering what you think?

If you can get it done, it is 100% possible to monetize it. I'd go as far as to say, I'd monetize this with a Pizza offer from MaxBounty, depending on the country you are in.

I think Its a great idea to test and if It works you can test the rest of containers they use for hamburgers, etc...

This is a really good idea in my opinion because it saves money for the restaurants since one box will cost only around 10 to 50 cents. Small restaurants also can benefits from free boxes. People usually keep boxes of pizza for a while and this can be a good opportunity for advertising on them.

Although it's a good idea but I want to mention to some downside as well. The first issue is printing boxes in bulk, so you need several advertisers in hand to cover the advance costs. This can be some challenging when it comes to logistic and delivering those boxes to pizzerias.
Also, you need to pay attention to design because a poor design on a box can distract the customers and can have negative effect on advertisers. Also, since it's a physical product, you don't have time or chance to replace it with a new design.

That's all I think about your idea and I advise you to give a shot locally if you're interested in. Things look good in theory always but real challenges come up when it goes live.

Anyway, I wish you best luck with this business idea : )

I think it's a bad idea that will lose money....when people order a pizza it's because they are hungy and only care about the pizza not the box and what is written on it.

The only way I see this ideea prevailing is if you print your CPA offer / QR code / graffics on the inside of the box on the upper part so it's visible when they open the box to eat the pizza....but still.

I've seen some video with a water bottles being made and give for free,
It worked, and yours could probably work as well, you're just seeking approval (or advice) from the wrong place/people,
No one knows where are you from and it would highly depend on your GEO, just make your research locally and get into work

what they promoted with the water bottles?

It may not be easy to sell the idea to Pizza companies as they may perceive it as diluting their brand image by putting unrelated ads on their boxes.
Did you get some feedback from restaurant owners about your idea?

I still think this is something you should try.
Local businesses: Many spend a lot and are looking to advertise.
Affiliate, CPA... you have a big blank canvas where you can be creative to get attention and put a QR

May not be that easy but something you should try in my view.

The problem with this method is you are using pizza boxes which aren't reusable.
If you can think of something that can be reused like kitchen containers and jars that works better.
There are lots of other stuff like these that you can use to promote your brand/services/products.
Somewhere between 2016 and 2018 I had tried a scan me for your gift campaign for a local client it had the costumed performers in busy business markets with qrcode on their costume.
Results were not satisfactory, but it did good branding for their business.

I think he means advertising physical services in partnership with local businesses...not creating QR codes for people to complete CPA offers.

For example, printing an advertisement for a plumber service or a pet shop that has paid to have it printed there.

Start a pizza place and put ads on boxes for your other businesses.

You'll see the effects... not much.

For direct effects, you can advertise something directly related to pizza on it.

Or simply advertise some rare, but fun useful toys on it.

If you ask me about pizza, the best thing related to pizza for me are movies.

Just add more flyers. Why even put pizza in the process. What is this, hidden drugs delivery that you need to hand the item to a person.

Seems too complex. You're not targeting anyone special to send that stuff via a pizza box. It's not a president.

Thanks guys you gave me a lot to think about. The idea seems good but maybe a bit complicated to implement due to the printing process and all it implies. But nothing undoable though. Cheers

What is the purpose of it though.

There are better channels of message delivery.
