What do you think the top 5 industries will be in the next 10 years? It seems like we are becoming more robotic day by day, and I am genuinely curious...

I can only think of anything space related, since we already have private space travel, that's gonna be huge. My prediction on everything is else is that we will be going backwards again, EV's not selling so manufactures go back to IC engines, social states failing so we go back to factory settings with free markets, less regulations, less taxes and so on. The robotic stuff is mostly a cost lowering process due to high taxes and regulations.

As tech keeps advancing, some industries are set to dominate the next decade. AI and robotics will be huge, with everything from virtual assistants to self-driving cars becoming more common. Green energy and sustainability will grow as we shift towards renewables and eco-friendly solutions. Healthcare and biotech will transform with innovations in gene editing and telehealth. E-commerce and digital platforms will keep booming, expanding the virtual goods and content creation space. And as we go more digital, cybersecurity will be crucial to protect our data. It’s a bit robotic, but it’s exciting to see how tech will reshape our world!

A common belief is that we will become robotic, and as long as the majority thinks this way, we will inevitably evolve in that direction because studies show this. However, if these predicted things continue to happen and develop, it seems that serious health problems and laziness will reach high levels. The frightening part is that unfortunately, there is no power to prevent this, at least it doesn't seem possible for now.

The question of which industries will rank among the top 5 in the coming years is debatable.

However, it is certain that nearly every sector will undergo significant transformation through the integration of AI and automation.

I feel it will lead to more positives rather than negatives.

Perhaps, people will have more time on their hands and they will look for more entertainment. So, perhaps entertainment industry should be among the top ones... :smirk:

Here's my take on the top 5 industries that are going to explode in the next decade:
  1. Artificial Intelligence (AI): Transforming every sector, from healthcare to finance. The sky’s the limit.
  2. Renewable Energy: The world’s going green, and renewable sources like solar and wind are leading the charge.
  3. Healthcare: With tech advancements and an aging population, healthcare is set to boom.
  4. Cybersecurity: As digital threats grow, so does the need for robust protection.
  5. E-commerce: Online shopping isn’t slowing down. Expect it to keep evolving and expanding.

They can become lazy, there's less and less competition in making money game, so many people are lazy that it's getting easier and easier to get rich

Maybe :(

I don't thnk they will change a low in the future, maybe could be some new bussines that will be consumed or fail because people prefer to stay using the same that try something new, but won't be a big difference in 10 years, same big bussines.

  • Energy
  • Agriculture
  • Transportation
  • Medical
  • Technology

With regard to the narrow scope of this question, I appreciate it, but to get into any of these industries at a competitive level will require a lot of capital. It may be an easier entry to support these industries in some manner.

Someone mentioned cybersecurity. I agree that security will have great importance, however, even in the current market, cyber security is full of people who do not understand cyber security, let alone security, which is to say this has a lot of potential for anyone who truly understands it.

Also, food services, such as restaurants, and food product manufacturing, especially if you can do this in a healthy manner. A goal would be to establish a strong portfolio of healthy brands, so as not to be bought up by current holding companies.

I think health care technology would def be in the talks ,will revolutionize the way we access and deliver healthcare services.

So many shining optimists in this thread. Is this a convention of boomers? Why not say flying cars and a pill that can cure all diseases? What is this "Things will only get better because they only ever have" type of attitude? How about this one...

1) Ransomware

2) Food production

3) Oil

4) Transportation and shipping

5) Expat services

We will be enslaved by AI
This is just the beginning

We will NOT be enslaved by AI. All this AI hype is just the current media focus nonsense. The New York Times repackages LLM as AI and every stock with the word AI in it goes to the moon. Its a scam. Its a grift.

Its not even real AI, its just a fancy text generator that can sometimes do video and audio. People have been playing with this stuff since 1990 but now that a handful of companies are sinking enough wattage to power a medium sized city, everyone acts like we are just days away from the singularity.

Next, the media will circulate cold fusion again.

The AI industry is definitely in it. At least that’s what I think.
Because I already rely a lot on AI to work for me.
