Pretty much every website went down in backlinks according to AHrefs.

However they are all up in organic traffic over the same period?

It’s the recalibration in Ahrefs’ algorithm. They tend to shift how they interpret and display backlinks after certain updates, so it's not like you're losing links, they're just being recalculated or filtered differently.
