I’m currently working on a startup that offers a new way for businesses to reach their target audience while allowing users to benefit financially. The idea revolves around advertising in WhatsApp Stories. Essentially, we provide a platform where businesses can upload promotional content (ads, offers, job listings), which users then share in their WhatsApp Stories. Users earn money based on the number of views their shared content receives.

How it works:

1. Users register on the platform.


2. They choose which ads they want to share.


3. These ads are shared in the users’ WhatsApp Stories.


4. Users are paid based on the number of views their story receives.



For businesses, this model offers the opportunity to run authentic and targeted advertising directly in the networks of potential customers. Through filters like postal code, gender, and age, they can deliver their campaigns to a specific audience.

the main risk is the stories are important for the people = they care about reputation.

this means they don't want to ruin that, or they'll look spammy

Ok What good does that do you in practice? I rate you badly and the Others comoany rates you badly too. But the comoanys don't decide who accepts the job.

Everyone who is in the targeting area of the company can See the ad and can Accept it.

The companys cant see who Accept it. Just pay per View where the admins First verify the Views.

Just Like Meta and Google, they pay per click and dont know where it comes from

This has already been done for almost any social media platform, Instagram has the most of such sites.

Google and you will find them... it's nothing more than an Influencer marketplace (for IG) I never heard this for whatsapp tho but I assume you meant something similar.

Per my browsing (and that was years ago) most of those influencers were terrible, any good and reliable influencer has enough business via their DMs and they don't need to plug their account into third-party services.

Who would use their personal profile to share some ad and risk being seen as advertising something that could be false, misleading, scam, competition. Then share some other business ad lol and so on. Individuals would lose their followers base.

When we talk about profiles that are brands and pages, I don't even think about Whatsapp, but any social platform, because why would you even consider to limit yourself to one platform? Back to pages, nobody would even consider to do something like that.

You can't pay them enough, or some small pages could try and see that it's not worth it.

It's not like a total miss, you could connect with some advertisers and do exit scam (lol) if you want to earn anything.

This helps mitigate the risk of sharing content that feels inauthentic or spammy.


the reason we focus on WhatsApp is that it's a platform where personal connections are strong. Ads shared here come with a level of implicit trust because they're coming from someone the audience already knows. This makes it more impactful than traditional social media advertising where ads can feel like noise.
The Plattform should BE designed to promote authentic, local, or community-based ads (e.g., a nearby restaurant’s offer or a local job posting), not just generic or global ads. This makes the shared content more relevant and less likely to feel out of place in a user's network

I realize that not every individual would be comfortable with this model, but for those who are open to it, we’re providing a chance to monetize personal connections in a trusted and controlled way.
