Hey Blackhatters! Should I move to your area?

I would usually say New Zealand, but we are just moving into winter atm. Not overly cold, just rains for several days in a row. Not overly cheap either.

However, I don't know one person who has come to New Zealand and loved every minute.

I'm actually planning on meeting a friend there in January. I think I'll like the weather better then. :) Luckily I have several friends who live there so I can stay for cheap.

lol. Nice. I'm probably too old for half the people on this site (I'm mid-30s). Besides, I don't want to go to Vegas. ;)

My town - Hazleton, PA.
3 out of every 4 people here is illegal :D
personally me, im white and legal.

Costs virtually nothing to live here.
If your looking to rent - theres half-doubles for rent for about $600 /mo and apts for $400-500 / mo.
Town's pretty shitty in some parts, but eh, its okay for me, it's what I call home. and like they say "home is what you make it"

I'm trying to get OUT of the US. Definitely not interested in living in PA. Thanks though.

^ how is the no-income tax thing working out for ya? I've been wondering about that myself actually, I mean whether or not u still have to worry bout taxes in the US should u decide to bail and live somewhere else...

All in all I vote for CR or PA ... whatever u do stay away from El Salvador ... < defo not the best place for a single woman to be...

As a US citizen you are required to pay taxes no matter where you live. But, if you're living over seas you get a nice chunk of income waived. I don't know the ins and outs - that's what my accountant is for. Make sure you talk to someone familiar with international tax issues so you can maximize your deductions.

To anyone else - if you have the drive, motivation and skills you'll make it anywhere in the world, it'll just be different challenges. However - I wouldn't recommend moving to a 3rd world country before you are financially on top.

Should just come now then :P. Bad weather here, is good weather elsewhere.

But yeah January is absolutely stonking hot. Depending on where you go, you can escape the humidity though.
