channel start 1st september
when I first started I was thinking the biggest barrier is the 4000 watch hour
after 20 days into it with 10 videos uploaded
I have 30000 views and 1100 watch hours (i think it show the content has some retention rate) my video is 5 - 8 mins long / my competitor has video of 10 - 20 mins long. I cant do those as that will take up double of my time
subscriber was harder than I expected. Now at 160 subscriber growing at about 15-20 subscriber a day
Initially I think that I can hit my subscriber first before watch hours, now I think i will hit the watch hours first before my sub, I hope the sub catch up soon
I have a clickbait title and clickbait thumbnail (not searchable)
my video first 30 seconds was also a hoot no bullshit telling poeple to subscribe I only tell people to subscribe in the last 15 seconds. The first 30 seconds was to hook them on what they are expected to see for the rest of the video or sort of a preview to what they will be getting

probably is because all my 12 video revolve around the same topic i have got chance nor time to do others yet
so just hope to continue and hit my 4000 watch hour and 1000 sub and apply monetization
only after monetization i can do more

but i learn some tricks that is focus on youtube recommendation rather than ranking of course the niche i am in is a niche that is not meant to target for search

Hey, let's face it.
If everybody can just start a YouTube channel tomorrow and become the next MrBeast, there will be a lot more people doing YouTube.
YouTube looks easy, but it's actually quite hard.
There's a lot of things to master.
There are a lot of things to keep an eye on when it comes to analytics as well as niche targeting and content creation.
What makes it so challenging is that there are so many tools nowadays that enable people to create YouTube videos with a single prompt.
The problem with this is that if you have no strategy and if you haven't really done research on your target audience, this can be a one-way ticket to failure.
Imagine putting in the time using these AI tools to crank out videos that nobody watches.
YouTube has become extremely sophisticated over the years.
I would suggest that you grow your YouTube follower base organically by finding related channels and commenting on them and then tying themes that you see in the video that you're commenting on with the stuff that you're talking about in the videos on your channel.
This is not spammy.
It adds value.
Again, it just depends on how you position the channel that you're promoting.
But believe me, with the proper research and niche targeting, you can grow organically quite a bit without having to use shorts.
A lot of people use shorts as a shortcut.
But if you really want to build a solid base, your actual videos — I'm talking of long-form videos — have to do the heavy work.

I buy subscribe and pay for plenty of tools. I used to do it the old way of finding niche, keywords research and spam the whole title with keywords. keyword ranking will work for some type of video, review, how to, travel. but for sometype of video there is totally no searchable term and I was stumbling on them and check their tags bunch of useless tag, title is clickbait but not searchable term like example look at what i eat when i am in zoo, this title will be uselss they have a clickbait thumbnail.
along my way now I learn that my video now is getting push by youtube it appear on user homepage, it get suggested by my own video also by other people video.
but my subscriber is really slow. I have the view and watch hour but not subscriber

those ai generated video is really bad. example pictory, fliki, even capcut scripts to video. I dont know if anyway use this tool to build a youtube channel if you are not editing.
I try a lot of tools but in the end it just couldnt pass my basic, I imagine myself as a viewer this is the type of video i watch 30 seconds to 1 mins and will skip it.
To edit beyond it will mean more effort. i still use some ai tools but basically i patch them up myself in capcut

Hey this is a great journey thank you so much for sharing, its important for anyone considering to look at statistics.
I am by no means an accomplished content creator, I think in the early days of you tube it was far easier to get seen and build an audience, but now a lot harder. Why? Because before they tightened regulations, people got paid for any type of content and really most of the time it was crappy.
I strongly believe Youtube rewards people for good content, I am inspired to see your subscriber increase 15-20 a day thats promising.
I can only see in a short while that daily count doubling soon. At the moment its going to feel like you're wading through treacle but it will thin out in time, just keep pressing ahead. Thanks for sharing this.

Good stuff man. I started 3 years ago and had way worse results. Your start is incredible so far. Stay patient and dont burn yourself out. And also dont get too hyped up in case you get a huge boost. This happens a lot, then the views start to drop and it kills the motivation for most beginners. Good luck!
only thing is subscribe increase too slow, it is going to take much longer than i expect to hit 1000

Yeah I had the same problem. Hit 4000 watch hours after 3 months and only 500 subscriber on my channel, then i got impatient and bought 500 botted subs.

What happened to your purchases monetized channel ? Did you got any good deal out of those purchases which you made big in future ?
buying sub is and view is 1 thing i will not do to my new channel
i used to create many channel before and the first thing i do or at least when i see some potential i get 1000 sub and watch hour and the problem come
it mess up youtube algorithm. now suddenly youtube dont know your audience group as your purchase sub is all over the world likely india or bangaldesh and it is all bots even if it is real people it is not your audience. even exchange sub i will not do it, i sub your channel and you sub mine. i wont do it. i want the actual sub that actually watch my niche and sub and this is the precise sub that youtube want and push your video to similar audience. i learn this stuff from a chinese guru teaching people how to grow audience in chiina market and i bring it over to youtube
Yeah true. I learned this stuff by fucking up my channel with that botted subs. No need for "Gurus". It just messes up the algorithm for a few weeks or months, but its gonna fine at some point. There are some situations where pre monetized channel are the better choice, but if you are able to grow it organically then always go for it. Good luck with your journey mate
I am stuck at 372 sub it really pain
by with 500 sub you can apply for the membership monetisation
i hope i can reach 500 sub and if that membership monetisation couldnt pass i will have to redo other channel
now that i am more focus on youtube suggested and youtube recommendation
if the niche can target by keyword better if not i prefer youtube recommendation
