My Journey selling IPTV (online television service)

Best thing which you can is google ads and fb ads and take into consideration that keyword iptv is banned by google another thing with payment provider you'll need to make a fake website (do research about cloacking) like selling service SaaS, webdevlopement once customers pay you on your website they will be redirected like if they bought from the other website ... don't forget iptv is ILLEGAL in most of the countries

just make a god damn website link a payment proccesor method then run advertisment instead of wasting time on DMs im just saying ... good luck

Hi! Thank you for your advice

Yes it is in my plans to build a website, but right now I preferred to focus on Social media, just to take advantage of the straightforwardness of it.

In this Phase 1 my only objetive is to get enough clients to back my monthly investment. After that I will move into phase 2 for website and scaling.

The thing with the website too, is that in the region where I live, people don't trust websites to put their card info on. That is a very first world costume that we dont have here.. So even if I did have a website, I still would have to solve getting payments on other ways. So I dont see the point on having it now

Hi man thank you very much for your response. I am already running FB ads yes. I will leave the website for the next phase of my project.

I appreciate that secret of the cloaking for payment processor, thank you very much.

JOURNEY UPDATE:

Hi gang,
I would consider this the end of Day 2

At the beginning of the day I set up 3 facebook ADS. I will leave stats here of how they performed so far.

Oh and I made a sale :D Congrats to us

AD 1: In this AD I only promoted the TV service. Graphic has strong colors, and its very simple. Actually it would surprise you how simple it is, yet is the best performing one.

Reach: 678 people / 9 conversations started / 2.6$ spent

AD 2: In this AD actually I didnt promote the TV service, I made a graphic about account combos of other companies (nflix, hbo, prime). I just wanted to see how it performed, to think about if giving more focus to this part of the business or not.
It performed well, but I'm still not sure. I get better profit from the TV service alone and have to give less support.

On the other hand, Netflix is like putting your best fruit on top of your stand. People see them and stop, and then you offer your other products. I already experimented this years before, everybody wants cheap Netflix, and then you can sell them something else. This is also the other reason I did it. But Im not sure its working like that this time.

Reach: 845 people / 8 conversations started / 2.55$ spent

AD 3: This AD same like ad1, is only promoting TV service. The difference with the other graphic, is that I made this one "professional looking". I did the kind of graphic a cable company would do. Pretty girl vector smiling, TV background with fancy design style etc.

It did not perform so well, maybe is to early to jump into conclusions but I just think the graphic may be "more of the same" so people just dont pay as much attention.

Reach: 574 people / 4 conversations started / 2.5$ spent

Total spent in Ads today: 7.65$

Total profits today: 1 TV service month + 1 Nflix acc = 12,5$

Im pretty happy with today's progress. I made my very first sale, and I have like 12 people with installed trials in their televisions.

Ads cost barely got covered by sales, so hopefully some of the trials convert into sales later

DAY 3:

My objetives for today are to organize my business.

I gave a lot of trials today and didn't have time to put in paper who am I giving which account, etc So I will do an Excel sheet to keep all this data.

Also I want to save text responses for the most common questions that I get asked by clients. To save time in future conversations but also to give all the complete information. Today I just improvised as customers arrived, I will now check all the messages to gather data and do this task.

Basically, I am setting up shop. Today, I didnt know what was going to happen so I wasnt prepared. Tomorrow I will be ready.

Another thing I will start doing today is writing PDF guides with photos of all the processes. Downloading the app from TV, connecting for the first time to the app, and how to use the app once you are in.

I realized im spending a lot of time teaching all this to every client, so I will just make PDF or some videos so I can just share that with everybody.

As for the ADS, I think I will just run them a couple days more before deciding something.

Update at Day 5:

Hi BHW I want to leave an update of my journey selling internet TV.

On days 3 and 4 I had all 3 ADS running and got a lot of messages.

I used this time to improve my sales-conversion, regarding the conversation I have with people after they respond to the ad. At the same time, I wanted to let ADS run for a bit to see statistics.

------

I made some sales both on day 3 and 4. But they were almost all spent that same day in advertising. Anyway this served its purpose, and 1 of the 3 ads had literally twice the results of the other 2, for half the cost.

Of course 3 ads is not much of a test, but at least from this 3 this one is a winner.

I spent 17.75$ on ads between day 3 and 4

-------

For day 5, from the beginning of the day, I left active only the winner AD. I did not increase the daily spending, just deactivated the other 2.

On this day I spent 3.75$ and got the same number of messages generated than days before.

I will now push the gas a bit on this ad and increase the daily spending to see how it goes.

I will share some current numbers:

Money in:

38 $ - from TV clients
19.5$ - from other services (nflix, hbo, etc)
57.5$ - total

Money out:

$130 - fixed investment initial payment
$12 - materials to create other serv acc (nflix, hbo, etc)
$21.5 - ads
$163.5 - total

balance -106$

I have like 15 trials floating around, and I am talking with some guys who may be starting to buy some bulk. Lets see.

My only goal in this PHASE 1 is to get back my initial investment in this first month, and to do it with as much final client accounts as possible, since this are the ones I make the most money from and will be the best passive income for the next months.

I already supported a lot of people with the app installation, so Im getting really good at it. Process is getting fluid and smooth, so I know its heading in the right direction.

I am really enjoying the process and will continue to update later.

Thank you

Update at the end of day 10:

Phase 1 is completed, I have achieved my first goal of getting back my initial investment. And I'm actually in profits.

I have been running the "winner" ad for the last 5 days. CTR is terrible, graphic really could be better. But even in that condition, I made a return of x2 on my FB ads investment.

The onboarding process of potential customers is really smooth now, although with bigger traffic it would be intense work to give great support to all of them, eventually I think I would need help.

I stopped completely selling and promoting other types of accounts, Im focusing 100% on the TV service.

I will have better and new ADS ready tomorrow. My intention is to optimize AD campaigns. Improve CTR to get a better deal on my spent money.

----------------

** some money stats:

Total money coming in: 258$

from which 118.5$ is from direct customers TV service accounts
19.5$ is from other type accounts which I am not selling anymore
120$ from reseller bulk orders

Total money out: 198$

from which 130$ is from initial investment payment to service owner
14$ is from other type account materials cost
54$ is from FB ads investment

So I am currently sitting in a nice and green 60 bucks profit. Of course at the beginning of the next month I have to pay my fixed investment again.. But the picture will be much prosperous.

I don't have as many direct customers as you would deduce from the 118.5 number.

At the payment moment, I am offering to get 2 months for 12.5$ instead of 1 month for 7.5$. It turned out 75% of customers will take this offer. So my profits are a lot bigger than I projected.

I sold a reseller panel to someone starting his own business, and he bought a bunch of credits.

I helped him by telling step by step what I am doing, from ad investment to onboarding and writing down the data in an excel chart.

PHASE 2:

Phase 2 is time-based. My goal is to get to the end of the month with enough profit to pay for next month fixed payment and in the meantime, my short term focus is to improve my ad-spending system efficiency.

I don't want to think about transforming anything into anything right now, I am just grinding until the end of the month. I hope to have a finished system by then, to move to scaling on Phase 3.

I am not sure I will be still updating this for Phase 3, and I think my next update now will be in 10 days.

Thanks for watching

Edit: I want to add , I actually have 2 customers who paid for the TV service which I got from the facebook DM spam I made on the first day of this journey. The whole purpose of this thread is to show anyone who needs it that you can start a business even from nothing, just with a couple fb accounts, a nice product you could be reselling with no initial investment, and high quality human support and sales. Even better if you have a couple bucks to oil the machine.

Hi, good luck on your journey. What do you mean by 'next month fixed payment'?
Also what are you using as a payment method? And what do you mean by 'TV Service'? Like the IPTV service itself?

Hi thanks man. I am in a deal with the service owner where I pay him a fixed amount every month in exchange for unlimited account creation along with other benefits.

I am taking payments through bank transfers and local easy-payment type apps.

When I say Tv Service I just mean the product I'm selling.

our journey seems promising, but you're hitting common hurdles like blocked accounts and slow traction. Try refining your methods to reduce friction and improve customer conversion. Best of luck.

Interesting journey for once, good luck !

Can you tell us what country you are from ? :)

Thank you very much! I'd rather not , but you can ask anything else

Thank you for your suggestions, I think maybe you didnt read the last messages?

the guy who sold you the 130 fixed payment is scamming you.
you buy a panel for 80 / 120 $ that has 100 credit / 1 credit = 1 month. then use it whenever you want. you only pay him again when you sell all the credits.

Not really, because in the future when you need 500 credits you will have to pay for all of them, and I stopped paying at 100 credits.. I explained this at the beginning, the deal is favorable for long term.

Also I created a reseller panel for the guy who bought in bulk from me, and I added a lot of credits into his panel and I didn't pay a single dollar for that.

I don't think you really understand the benefits of the deal I made.

What kind of objective are you running?

Hi! Im running ads to get direct messages.

Thank you so much for update every single point.
here can I know, You pay $130 fixed to tv provider only for reseller panel then you have any customer limit (example 100/1000)?

if you gain 100/500+ customers then tv provider ask for more payment ?
Before today I know iptv reseller panel work as a credit system.

I don't have any customer limit. He told me I could use 2 thousand credits every month with no problem.

If I gain 500 customers and he starts asking for more money, I will deal with it on the moment.

I know this guy through a tight community where he has a reputation to care about, and where he makes deals with other people.. So its not in his best interest just to kick me away.

Anyway, I'm a reasonable guy so if I start making a ton of money from this, I don't have a problem re-negotiating our deal so he takes advantage of it too.

UPDATE

Hi I want to make an update about this journey:

So far its been a great success I guess, here are the numbers:

Total money in: 369.5$ usd This is direct customers sales + bulk orders for resellers
Total money out: 255.0$ usd This is monthly payment to iptv owner + Fb ads

So I am currently sitting at 114.5$ usd of pure profits. I think its great, because its almost all the money for next month fixed payment to the iptv owner.

Fb ads ROI ended in x1.65. Its not great but I did spend a lot of money in campaign testings which went wrong, but its necessary. Also I want to say that advertising return kinda stalled a bit after day 10 of the month, I was still getting a lot of responses on the ad, but no so many sales.

I spent 111$ on ads to get 182$ on returns, of course some of this clients will renew so its extra positive.

Iptv is for poor people I think, and where I live you only get 1 paycheck a month from your 9-5. So basically poor people only have money the first days of the month, and that's when I have to spend most on ads.

This is also noticeable on the discount I make if you buy 2 months upfront, on the first days of the month everybody took it without hesitating, and on the last days it was mostly 1 month sales.

-----------

Maybe I could have made more money, but the truth is I had to stop paying for ADS on day 14 of the month. Even with the business on nice profits, I ran out of money, because I actually used all my 9-5 free money after paying bills, to invest on this and I didn't save any to eat haha. So basically as days past by I had to eat the profits to stay alive and healthy.

I stopped ADS so I can get to the end of the month with money to buy food, and I will continue with advertising as the next month starts. I guess that's when my next update will be on this post.

I have a total of 26 final clients

I will try to start next month investing more money on ADS. This was ok but it needs to move faster. I have to end next month with at least 100 clients or die.

Thanks everyone who is reading, and success in your work

you have described all pros and cons, good luck mate

Thank you bro, I will keep going.

If someone could help me with some tip on how to scale my ads without failing, I would highly appreciate it.

Currently I am doing broad audience, since I dont think this is something you can actually segment too much, everybody watches tv. What I did notice is most of the clients are at least 30+.

My best performing ads were those were I did not try any specific interest segment. But when I tried to scale those, I just had the same results but paying more xD

What I plan on doing is just duplicate small campaigns instead of scaling up, but at the end I think Facebook will just fuck you how it wants, I don't know. What do you suggest?

Thank anyone

Good luck mate. I also want to start a similar service. What's the best way to do it cheap?
