Lets say I have an ad that I want to test, what is the correct configuration for testing on ripped ads?

For example I have this as a setup, and we are running lead gen on solar offer.

What budget is good for testing per cbo? $10. $20, $30...etc..

For the configuration for testing, do you recommend having each creative in its own ad set or have 1 ad set and having all the creatives in one?

For AB Testing, do you recommend to always test using ab testing on facebook, or just test normally by launching a cbo camp?

Do you immediately start using "advantage + audience" and start using "detailed targeting" on the ads or wait to collect data and then start the detailed targeting?

Attached is my current test configuration for my ad setup.

Also open to any suggestions on how to test properly and make iterations moving forward.

your setup is very primitive
If it's an AB test, where are the different creatives?
Do you use interests?
placement test?

Thanks for catching that, here is an updated diagram of what I meant. The first post was the incorrect diagram. This one is now the correct diagram.

Each ad set has a different video, set of copy (primary text, headlines, and descriptions), so essentially 3 sets of different creatives.

Right now, I have 2 CBO's, 1st cbo has different copy, 2nd cbo has different copy, all the same 3 videos in each cbo.

Rght now, no interests yet, that was one of my questions, should I immediately start choosing an interest in the detailed targeting section off the bat, or run this ab test then next set of ads, based on the data choose interests in the detailed targeting?

For placements, I have it on "Advantage + placements" since its recommended, or should I be choosing manual placements?

In my opinion, you should collect enough data, then start aiming for detailed goals
Right now, for detailed targeting, I have a specific age range for obvious reasons, solar you need a home, so home owners are usually a little older.

Besides age, on the "breakdown" drop down column, what are some other detailed brakedowns I should be looking at, to get more detailed targeting?

first test out between advantage + and manual , they both work differently for different niche . Try using an audience list if you have one , it helps reduce CPA . a budget or $25 daily is more than enough to test for a week .

Try different interests in different campaign . everything is A/B testing till you find the best combo and double down on it . Ad description and other texts aren't that relevant make sure you have your main highlight keywords in the text and your good to go . try a lot of different creatives out .

Creatives make a lot of difference and is also one factor why people prefer advertising on Google rather than facebook. If planned out properly you would have spent and burnt quite some cash but by the end of a month you would have a winning creative and description .
Best of luck to you !

Regarding this product, I think the initial budget will be about x2 profit / 1 product. And divide it equally by 7 days so that it can ensure even distribution and you can review whether it has been distributed correctly or not based on the number of people interacting.

A/B set is always useful for products starting to run ads. You should keep your budget small so Facebook can learn and distribute properly
