Ah okay I'm following now, yes that tracks because they wanted to stop finstas accounts. So it's basically marking your 'family' both ways.

Just turns out you can use the color change to some advantage. I just don't think the effect will be long lived.

Seems like there will be a specific use case for it, like when the account is waning. You wouldn't want to do it right away because it will dull their reaction to it in time the same as if you hadn't done it at all. But it's probably a good way to boost a dying account back to life.

Yeah I mean you can post stories, posts, and notes for your close friends. So far I've seen amazing results because it's not just green, but is always shown at the very front. Currently able to add around 40,000 of the followers to close friends per day - seems pretty stable.

Yeah it makes any story or post appear at the very front because they're in your close friends. so far the only downside is that the close friends list glitches a bit after 9,999 so then its a bit harder to delete people (if you want to delete anyone), but other than that it's super useful. It legit helped me revive an account i hadnt posted on in 6 months, with a single story lol

I add 20k of my own followers to close friends per day.

So if I have an acc with 200k followers, takes around 10 days to add them all to close friends

I think is more curiosity from people to see the freen circle than actually interested in the reel, basically a click bait but it works at the end that is the point of doing that.

yeah it's just basically forcing everyone to watch your content, but the concept works haha

Quick little update:

The dead account i originally tried this on went viral a week after I started this test and the stats look incredible.

The story views on the close friends story are staying pretty consistent, I would say that about 1-2% less people watch the story each time, but since accounts gain and lose followers frequently this could be balanced out. The other thing I've tested is posting a regular story, then a close friends story. That drives all of the people to watch the regular story too, so you can push them as well.

So far this has had amazing results, but i will keep testing.

I just tried this with a small account of arround 2k followers. I usually get 200-300 views. Added all 2k and had 20 views on the close friends story but had 500 views on the following story which wasnt close friends. and interestingly 10% were from non followers, so this is actually a great strat

So is the idea that the green ring is more eye catching? They may hit it once out of curiosity because who ever sees the green ring but will it really keep up? Curious to see how long the boost lasts
