Question about CPM on YouTube

Yesterday, I reached 1,000 subscribers and was able to activate monetization on my channel. Currently, the CPM is $12 per 1,000 views. From what I understand, having 1,000 views doesn’t necessarily mean all of them will have ads, correct? I’ve set up YouTube’s default automatic ads. My channel is growing and currently receives about 700-800 daily views. Any insights on how monetization might work with these numbers would be appreciated.

That's a damn good CPM, but if you want to get a more accurate data of what your earnings will look like. Pay more attention to your RPM.

It's the first day and I would think it will adjust for worse (Google xD) but we'll see.

Very nice CPM but now a day Youtube is paying by RPM based.
Some days ago the EMP was present.
EMP= Estimated Monetization Playback.
So if you see your RPM (Revenue per mille) is good than you are forward.
If not than you should need to arrange good views from the worldwide.

Every 1000 views will not show 1000 video ads.
It will show only upon availability, geographical location and history and cookies.
