Getting Traffic From Reddit Profile

I am new-ish to getting traffic from Reddit. If I post a load of reasonably valuable content could I post a link in my profile to my website? Do Reddit users check out profiles at all much?

What's the age? Wondering how much age matters

I think redditors do check the profile for one reason:

Is the user a bot or is the user karma farming.

For nsfw posts they sure do, for regular content they can do if you tell them via comments or in post title (not smart as you will get reported for advertising)

Age of the account does not matter if you are posting high quality content.

It is a shame reddit does not have tools to see how many people visited you profile.

Agreed, this is why adding human-like behavior helps out. By karma farming not only do you lower chances of the account getting banned, but as far as other users can see it's a real human and not a bot.

It is a shame reddit does not have tools to see how many people visited you profile.

It does:

Alternatively: Go to your profile -> "Mod Settings" button -> "View your traffic".

This doesn't seem to show data - tried it with 2 accounts and both showed 0 visits for over a year even though it can't be true.

i think most people here love using bots and that leads to problems.

It is better to gain as much karma as possible through activity in the comments, but there is always a risk of banning.
