Backlinks Not Appearing in GSC

Hi all,

I've been acquiring links from three providers since last year.
One of the provider have of course given us guest posts, which has not been appearing under links in Google Search Console.

Do you think this matters?

Other two providers links has 80% links appearing under Google Search Console - Links.

Backlinks may not be shown in SEO tools like SEMrush and Ahrefs.

However, Google Search Console (GSC) is different. If a backlink is not registered in GSC,

you should check whether the backlink has been indexed.

Check if the links are indexed. If they're not indexed they would not appear in your GSC.

Indexation is also not a guarantee that they would appear on your GSC.

The important thing you should focus on is that they are indexed on Google. If your links are indexed, you shouldn't worry much about them appearing or not appearing on the GSC.

There's a latency in most cases
If they were all build around the same time, it's an indexing issue

1. not all links will show in GSC & 2. it takes some time (a few weeks+-) for any link to show up if it's going to,
it's not necessarely to be shown in the GSC, as long as the page is indexed and cached with the latest version that's showing your link, all good,

google has been showing fewer links in the GSC after one of the recent updates (around HCU +-), just don't stress yourself about this,
make sure you're getting the right type of links is way more important than being concerned about GSC or any other tool link reports

GSC doesn't always report on the links google knows about, or they report late. I've had a quality backlink some years ago (4-5??) that showed up in GSC only after 6 months, even though it's been indexed and working since day 2...

Besides, I think there's a limit of 1000 backlinks (I might be wrong here though) that GSC can show, so if you have - let's say - 25k backlinks you're ever going to see only a fraction of them anyway...

Just don't stress about it! If you know that the links are live, indexed, and do their job (improved your rankings) that's all that matters...

If your back-link is indexed, it will appear in Google Search Console. (It will take some time) and Make sure to check if the link is still active or has been removed.

If guest post links aren't appearing in GSC they may not be indexed or could be on low-quality sites, so acquire high quality links.

Yes. As other member pointed out, check if the links are indexed. If they are not, they are worthless. Google might not even scrape the pages.

If the links are not indexed, stop using this link provider.

if the pages are indexed - you're safe mate. If not - you were scammed

It will take some time and you need to be patient. Just make sure the links are crawled and indexed in Google. It's not necessary to appear on the Search Console.

It doesn't matter if these links appear in Google Search Console or not. Check whether the links are indexed in Google. If they are indexed but don’t show up in the GSC, it’s not an issue. However, if the links are still not indexed in Google, you should ask the supplier to submit them for indexing.

Give it some time (usually a couple of weeks) and they will appear.
