My website crashed after the sale

Niche: healthy recipes

In September 2022, I had a website with 1 million hits. After making a lot of money with Adsense, I received a proposal from another large website to buy my content and put ADX on my website. In exchange, they promised me more traffic, but I would keep 20% of the revenue. The increase in revenue was guaranteed by contract.

But since I put the ADX script and since I put a bar in the header pointing to the news portal that I signed the contract with, my website's organic traffic has dropped dramatically. In 2024, I'm below 30 thousand traffic per month.

The contract I signed practically didn't favor me, but I thought it wouldn't have any practical impact. There are some things that can have an impact, such as:

- The vehicle that I hired ADX for takes my content and posts it as if it were theirs and sends a link back to my website.

- The bar in the site header and the script weighing down and impacting the speed of my site
- I changed the URLs and did a 301 redirect, but that was a long time ago, but I believe it was something that had an impact

But in general, I analyze that this large site that I partnered with does this with smaller sites, copies the content and response as if it were theirs and sends me a backlink, but that didn't benefit me, nor did it benefit the other sites that did this ADX partnership with this vehicle.

What you did only a kid can do. You already answered to your problem.

So basically you what is your question or why do you started this topic?

I didn't understand, can you be clearer?

I don't understand why you would take this deal but seems like you should end it.

they promised me more revenue, but 20% would be theirs, it is in the contract that I could earn more, but my technical traffic would be theirs and my content was also picked up and responded to within a site with more authority

The ADX partnership led to a significant drop in my website's traffic due to issues like content duplication, slower site speed from the header bar and script, and ineffective 301 redirects, undermining the value of the contract and failing to boost my revenue as promised.

Seems like you didn't analyze about their reputation before accepting for your site

At least did you get any revenue or not that too?

Can you show your website

Learn from it and end the contract. In future, do not run behind quick rich schemes.

Are they from same country as yours ? Depending on what was mentioned in contract, you can use them for loss. But this should be a lesson for you , you were already earning good with adsense and should have continued with it.

Should've done an outright sale. I doubt your website will recover to the level you had before this deal. I'd still advise you to end the contract.

Bruh, they basically got your original content, and posted it, and then when you post with their content, Google will attribute its creativity to ADX so it will show the traffic the ADX's website in the first place, before you, hence you lost your traffic, its a sad event, and I'd suggest cancelling it

Yes, but the contract protects them, it is written that the traffic was theirs, so they could do whatever they wanted. They only said that the profits would be greater with ADX
