I can see that people are using this Sub forum in order to increase their messages count.
I Think there are two ways to limit this situation.

1. Only members that registered a year ago can write a comment in this sub-forum
2. Only members with 100 messages and above can comment on these posts,

one of them or two of them will decrease amount of spam.
I See people that registered a week ago welcoming other people.

There's no need to put such limits on Members in the Introductions threads, but simply making it so that the post count does not increase when they post in that section should be enough. This works very well in the Lounge.

As for the post count increase, the same goes for the Marketplace section. One can easily get post count to 100 by just going through SMM Panel or Proxy/Indexer threads and asking for trial credits or "Review copy".

We have discussed Cancelling of the Counts previously and it was denied but the crew is well aware of the Spamming problem

The forum owner has responded to these suggestions in the past. He explained that the purpose of the section is for members to get their first post and that we don't want to discourage other users from welcoming members.

Of course, some people take advantage of this and use the section to inflate their post count. I know it seems annoying, but just report the issue so that we can clean it up. People seeking to inflate their post count are always going to look for threads or sections to do this in, and because they're typically lazy, it's actually easier to catch these post count inflators if most of them are posting in the same section.

I'll ask the moderation team to thoroughly go through that section today and clean it up.

Update: Whilst discussing this with the moderation team, I did remember that Introductions threads older than 1 week were meant to be locked. I'm currently going through the Introductions section to do this, so it should help discourage spammers from at bumping older Introductions threads, meaning we'll have fewer to moderate in that section.
