What’s up with all free CC posts?

The title says it all - when on Threads I see soo many posts with credit card pictures. What’s the deal with that and why would people believe in it in 2024

I’ve seen, particularly on Threads and X, a lot of credit card pictures. Maybe it’s just to grow their account? They obviously will never work.

Yes! I also noticed that spam accounts are replying on the not working comments with: DM me etc.

So maybe they are doing some kind of follow up scam? Might well be not from the original poster tho.
