Honey Chrome Extension

I keep seeing these chrome extensions like Honey, and some similar bank ones that basically earn money off of replacing affiliate links (as I understand it). How is this legal? Wouldn’t a company not want you to just earn money off them if a company was going to go to the site anyways?

They claim to partner with a ton of sites but I can’t imagine them contacting 10,000+ websites.

Anyone have thoughts?

Simply by using their code, you get discounts and they make money. What's the problem in that?

Honey is owned by google so I guess it’s them contacting honey not the other way and I bet they are getting higher comissions than any average affiliate

Are there affiliate networks that are easy to talk to in copying this strategy? I haven’t seen any personally but I keep seeing a good amount of affiliate based chrome extensions

It wasn’t initially, but they used the same strategy. Just curious about the logistics if I were to pursue something similar. Seems like long term your epu would be quite high

information usage, your data and they do little investment and get really good returns from a site or app that you can trust and sometimes they gice special bonus or discounts when using either the extension or app, I mean they make it look like exclusive.
