If the profit margin is high in the niche you are looking to do, than you should go with that.

might be good if you know what you are doing, if you have some good money to test, if you have patience to see how 1k goes away because all ads you were trash and so on

Depends on how you do it. It's saturated like every other field, but that doesn't mean you can't make a profit there. However, as I said, you need to do it the right way.

No, it's an ultra bad Chinese factory level experience that pays $1 a day type of stuff.
Sample alternatives that can be started with nothing but relationships:
Drop-servicing / bending the fabrics of drop-shipping
You can do drop-servicing, but that still wouldn't be anything good as it would require to deal with customers - non-automated business - similar to a job.
Then you can think of twisting it, twisting, twisting it... get like 100 products, order them, and dispatch them from your local place. And that'd require a mercenary to pack all of it. I don't know a thing about it.
You can start a local store and tell people to come to your house once you get all those goods from Chinese at a nice discount.
Maybe fool them with replicas. Just don't forget to change your location and be in random spots each time.
You'll burn in hell on earth for that, but, money is so good.
See, that's why money is not a good goal. It makes you trick yourself and people, and then the whole reality, then you're like those "nike dudes' who sell piece of fabric worth $5 for $190.
All in all, I think dropshipping for the most part would require heavy automation by informatics, AWS, GCloud and at one point it would be like API connections between providers of stuff and ads systems / organic traffic collection.
If you automate analytics, research of good products and you have criteria beforehand for that, you'd be killing it with proper content distribution strategy on social media. Although I'd add some manual reviews for the stuff found automatically.
One idea is to teach people how to build vehicles and find parts to complete full vehicles. I came up with a backpack-size car for adults. A hard vision, but with practice, you'll be able to visualize houses built off sand and put that into real world. Train non-linear thinking.

As I've heard so many feedback on it through social media or any platform. dropshipping is still progressive business with low investment and competitive high profit. Personally I don't have experience of it but I'm going to try it quick real soon.
