How do I find the keywords with free tools that show my article on google? Have any of you done semantic building without using paid tools?

There are many keywords suggestion tools available. Try one of them.

One of the easiest and fastest ways to find related keywords is to do keyword research using a tool like Semrush's

You can try using keywords with similar content to paid keywords so your keywords are still displayed when users search for paid keywords.

you can use Google search console and Google keyword planner

Start with Google Search Console to see which terms your site currently ranks for. Google Keyword Planner, Google Trends, OR Ubersuggest to discover new keywords and understand search volumes and trends. AnswerThePublic or Keyword Tool.io can help generate related and long-tail keywords.

Once you study your niche, search for relevant keywords in Google search console that gets different keywords that defined with search volume, Select keywords that are long tail anchors helps generate organic visitors. Use free tools like Keyword Magic Tool, MOZ etc.,.

I would suggest keyword planner and using Ahrefs/Semrush to do some keyword research i.e. what are your competitors ranking for, variations etc.

Use GSC and check "Searches related to" on Google for ideas. For semantic building, try Google’s Keyword Planner, AnswerThePublic, and Ubersuggest for free data.

One of the free tools that I used was the Surfer SEO extension. When you add this extension to your chrome browser you'd get related keywords to searches on the side along with the exact volume.
