Hi everyone,

I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to give you a brief update regarding a redirect I performed for a client’s site.

Initially, the website was impacted, so I redirected Domain A to Domain B. When the issue persisted, I then redirected Domain B to Domain C, and finally Domain C to Domain D. Throughout this process, I ensured all backlinks were properly managed before each redirect.

Now, I've added Domain D to Google Search Console. Does this sound like the right approach? What's your thoughts in this?

Hey @Linkzo, it's a good move to ensure that the 301 redirects point directly to Domain D. Also, update the backlinks, use Google Search Console's Change of Address tool, submit the updated sitemaps, and monitor Domain D's performance to ensure a seamless transition and preserve SEO value.

It's good you added Domain D to Google Search Console, you need to monitor the performance and coverage reports in Search Console to catch any issues early.

I did a few tests with impacted (possibly penalized) websites and the results are almost always the same,
You get a boost for a while then it drops down again, basically getting up to almost where it was intially then back down to where it was burried,
The same results including test with different domains & subdomains

Yeah, I keep monitoring them incase of issues.

If you tried keywords rich domains, try other different domain names in future.

What is happening here? This is crazy actually. Why would you do all that if it continues failing?

Cause my client has complete data of customers and he wish to continue the same domain ,it might take long time to build customer range again so we did mailed all the clients when the site was under issue. But on the other hand we building on other domain with different products. Soon will launch that and hope to gain back the rankings.

I don't think building your business around Google is good.

Yes, it's good, the same thing happened to my client, it was an ISP issue and I did the same way I redirected 6+ times lol.

I'm trying that right now, too.
