Is ranking only about having backlinks or... I can get a content edge ie. make a video, add extra images, have consistent design that really improve UX and then that would rank 3 pages higher? And then answer some real F**ing questions that nobody answers cause they don't give a damn!

I'm not doing SEO, just asking cause I'm analyzing SEO as an opportunity for my how-to venture.

I see you saying "yes, but then you would compete with YouTube and they wouldn't like that". LOLL
"So no man, you should only promote YouTube on your inner pages and that'd get them to like you more!!"

All false, but all my niches are ones where visual content matters a lot. Cause how do you teach people how to get stuff done without visual content. That's a real bad UX.

Technically, the more skills you put into creating a website, the better UX it should have if you improve UX using different skills instead of destroying it.

IMO Google gives limited visibility to new websites on search and then analyzes data like dwell time and bounce rate to decide whether or not to push the website up. Of course backlinks matter a lot. These days it is all about authority. High authority sites with trash content will for sure outrank a low authority site with excellent content.

Those are my 2 cents about the matter. Still, am looking forward to the observations of other BHW members.

I noticed that it takes about $3 of good views on YouTube to skyrocket my channels.

Maybe it's the same on Google. Maybe all I need is $3 worth of links.

What I see is that nothing is worse than something in these cases.

Same stuff was with a site I ranked on Google. 100 weak links for $100 skyrocketed that website I was ranking.

So I think SEO to simply take off a website costs careful buying of cheap links for about couple hundred bucks. That's not much money. Anyone can do it.

But I ranked another site and the result was the opposite. I bought Sarkar's links for $300 and my site was removed from SERPs altogether. It could work what they sold me, but it would only work on a bigger site. My site had 0 links -> suddenly they created 100s of links -> went to hell. And I was so young and naive that I made a single page website cause someone told me to do so. Since then I'm not touching SEO using my own money. Stupid experience I couldn't get through. Too much youth trauma. I need to get back to this business.

Ranking isn't just about backlinks anymore, it's about delivering real value to users. People are focusing on UX and real user needs instead of just gaming the system.

Under majority of keywords people just want quick stuff, quick stuff, quick stuff. Instant gratification. Lollipops.

I think I'd be easier to give them using a richer content and immediate answers to questions. 1 second on my site -> question answered.
Can't get quicker.
