When did you get your first income from freelancing? How?

A friend found an agency that paid for our projects 15-20X less than they were selling to their customers.
We have worked with them for four years. It was hell the whole time.
But we did not believe it was easy to get new customers then, and we did not believe we could get projects without experience!
Ultimately, we paid for an internship that lasted too long, but now I know nothing is impossible; you need to frame the problem differently. :)

Nice to hear. Keep going :)

My first freelancing is from freelancer.com contests for a logo around $30.
Are you still working there? How's the current situation in freelancer marketplace?

I started with logo design sales in 2018...

2 years ago. I just created a simple graphic design for a guy and he paid me 15 dollars for it.

The first income for me was from a US client in 2017. I got paid around $10 for making a simple edit on a design, and it was the best feeling ever lol

I earn 1$ in 2019

In graphic design, I don't waste my time bidding, I can't just find clients. So to earn money, I'm participating contests and I'm just doing my best every contest. Right now, most of the submission are just AI, this give us higher change of winning (not using AI).

The first freelancer income for me was from data entry.

Mine was on on Fiverr (10 years ago). Started with article writing and logo design niche those years.

Well paid Graphic Design in the 90's - now I only design for my projects.
