Hi everyone.
Some years ago i had a YouTube channel where i was sharing videos but made of video clips that already on the web, so after a while my channel has been penalized by YouTube for copyright. But i have noticed some YouTube channels manage to produce content by doing the same, therefore my question is how can i check if a video clip can take down my channel before i share the whole video online?

There's no actual way to do this. Best way is just keep the video as unlisted then let the yt do the copyright check in background. If something found then chnge that video.

If someone finds the video, they usually report straight, they don't contact you to take it down.

You can use stock videos from different platforms like pixels, pkxpay etc.
If you use another content then you have to edit properly and change the interface of video or you can take permission from the owner then use content. YouTube algorithm is very fast and smart he quick detected your content is copyrighted orginal.

There is no correct way. If they want to file a complaint against you, they will. I often choose foreign channels or channels that are much bigger than mine so... they don't know. You need to add enough transformational content for your videos so that you can atleast appeal for the take down, youtube clearly allows you to use other video clips , but it has to have your own transformational value added to it, that is by commenting on it, adding voice overs, not playing the borrowed clips for more than 5-7 seconds etc. Add copyright free stock clips and videos in between these borrowed clips also is another added transformational factor.

You have to stop this. This is the same copyright that we are talking about "copying and pasting"
