Hi guys, can anyone please share what phones would be good for a quality 4G proxy? I got completely lost in the amounts of information I consumed and I know nothing at this point.
I understand it needs to have at least 2GB of RAM and... and something else. Also it needs to survive 24/7 usage, don't overheat or burn my house to hell.just buy some $30 Walmart android phone phone
Why do you think so much RAM needed? It doesn't matter which phone you buy, what's important is how much RAM your phone has. I think the best for 4G today is 4GB of RAM.
Wow, thank you, this is a golden tip! I'll look into that. You can use any android device that works with your carrier. (there are different bands that can be not supported by your carrier or smartphone)
If you have 5g in your location - better use 5g phones, but again look for the phones that have bands supported by your carrier.
You can check that using google (for ex kimovil com)
In my practice the best phones for 5g proxies are Google pixels - they are cheap (about $100 per 5G phone), very reliable and always on stock.
There is one more trick that could be important:
Some Xiaomi, Realme, Alactel and some others models firmwares have a bug that resets voice assistant on reboot. (you need voice assistant to change IP remotely, and it could be disturbing when you need physically tap the phone again on reboot)
So if you have a big farm with 100+ phones - better check if your device has this bug.
A bit too expensive, I was looking at $80 tops. What’s your budget per phone?
I have a nokia g42 5g that I bought for around 140$. It is super fast and bloat free, and supports 5g which is future proof. It has two sim card slots so it might be possible to have two proxies simultaneously? Not sure.
If you only need 4g, there should be cheaper options.
are you planning to set up a proxy farm ?Hi guys, can anyone please share what phones would be good for a quality 4G proxy? I got completely lost in the amounts of information I consumed and I know nothing at this point.
