Thank you ahead of time for anyone who replies

On my WP ecommerce site, on page SEO is done. I'm focusing on content
Something I can't do is backlinks because I actually don't know how to do it
But is content and backlinks the main things I need to focus on now?
Also any suggestions on subscriptions or apps apps to do backlinking?

If your website is new, it's best to focus on creating great content.

If your website is older than 5 months and already has content, you can start building backlinks. Focus on guest posts and use the Ahref tool to find backlink opportunities.

Website is 6 years old. I'm unsure if I'm allowed to post url, so you can see website
Content I am doing
I can use ahref tool for guest posts and back links?
Thank you ahead of time

You can always build more links, but it's challenging to consistently produce high-quality content.

I would advise against posting your URL publicly for several reasons.

That said, six years is a solid foundation you have out there.

The key question now is, how are your rankings?

Are you tracking keywords?

Is there any progress?

Are you seeing an upward or downward trend?

What about views? Are they increasing or decreasing?

How many organic views do you get daily, weekly, and monthly, etc.,?

These are crucial metrics to understand before you start making a plan for building backlinks.

When it comes to backlinks, quality is more important than quantity.

It's better to have one strong backlink with traffic than 10,000 low-quality links that anyone can build.

Thank you very much for the detailed reply
Is there an app you can suggest for tracking keywords?
Also what app do you suggest I use for finding good links?

You are welcome.

You should try Semrush, you have sellers here at BHW at Misc selling accounts for as little as $6 or $8.

You can use the free version but it has limitations.

Install Keyword Surfer for Google Chrome extension.

You can also use some of the free SEO ahrefs tools https://ahrefs.com/free-seo-tools

God bless you, thank you for the reply and help. It's why I love this forum so much

Start with guest posting and niche specific forums. For apps, try Link Whisper for internal linking and Hunter.io for outreach.

For backlinks there are many quality services here on BHW.
I would suggest you focus on writing very high quality content. According to many, Google can distinguish between high v. low quality content. This is why some sites rank without any backlinks.

more links is good - but great content is key

I agree with your point, I saw some websites be able to rank the first page, but their DR, PA were lower than authority, google always amazing

Yes, content and backlinks are key for SEO. Keep focusing on high-quality, relevant content. For backlinks, consider using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz to help with finding and managing them. Avoid black-hat techniques and stick to ethical methods for best results.

I recommend embedding a product video of any quality backlinks you built

Because as an e-commerce site, every product got sales, leads, and organic results if you attach product or brand videos to the article

One thing you can do for an e-commerce website is create blog posts that have long-form content that include internal links to your product pages.

This accomplishes several things...

First, you are able to have long-form content, which is difficult with e-commerce products, and you can build backlinks to these post pages
following the link juice to the products themselves. It allows you to cover a lot more keywords and long tails that can lead to product sales you
would otherwise ignore with buyer phrases just for product pages.
