Getting traffic to my blog is almost impossible

A little rant here:
- my blog is 1 year old, and it has 150 articles on it
- I have a facebook page (7k followers), a facebook group (1k members), an X account (1,2k followers), instagram (3,5k followers), and Pinterest
- it gets 2k monthly visitors from Google and Bing
- it gets another 200 monthly visitors from social

Getting traffic is literally impossible:
- X limits the reach whenever I include a link, Instagram doesn't let you include links in posts, only in stories, Facebook drastically reduces the reach when you include a link, both on the page and in the group
- I had many posts go viral on Facebook - both on the page and in the group, with millions of views, but only a couple of clicks to my website
- No matter what I post, on ANY social media platform, it doesn't lead to clicks to my blog; even if some post goes viral, I don't get traffic, so no money
- My ezoic EPMV is $2 to $3, even though 95% of my traffic is from the United States

No matter what I do, I cannot get people on my blog to make some money - even $100 a month would be awesome for me.
What the hell am I doing wrong? Please help!
Then invest in organic traffic. You can do these by using less competitive keywords. Sourcing backlinks to point to your important pages and your organic traffic will grow naturally.

Thanks guys! I guess I'll move forward.
Currently, focusing on FB, pinterest and growing my list. Got 30 email subscribers yesterday!

Keep trying to post more articles and try to get more visitors.

How did you grow those Facebook and Instagram pages? You are doing well there so some money might be made there instead of wasting time in blogging.

What I would suggest, if you're still getting any kind of traffic now is to build a newsletter.

Really!

This is the best advice I can give you because most of the people that will visit your site are going to visit precisely only one time.

They're in and they're out forever.

The key is to get as many of those eyeballs to stay in contact with you through a newsletter.

I know that it's gonna be rough at first, but the more people join your newsletter, the higher its value.

The key is to get them to come back.

Maybe you're running a special story or you have some sort of scoop.

Whatever it is, get them to come back.

Another great thing about having a newsletter is that it directly impacts your bottom line because these people can be sent promotional information.

They can be sent affiliate links and when they click on that link and buy something, you make money.

So think along these lines.

1 year is enough time for a blog experiment. Don't waste more time. Sell your blog and provide a service. In 1 year you will start to make $100/day not month. Build a real business.

With blogging, even if you rise to the top, it can still die overnight. There is just too much instability.

You don't want to end up like this after investing time and money into a non-business.

That's a great start! You mentioned a bunch of different items that could be improved in your first post so I think it makes sense to concentrate on one or two at a time.

For example with fb: look at your past content in order of highest click through and see how you can replicate the best performer, gather new ideas from online and decide how to try them yourself, and write down exactly what you’re going to try and when. Then move on to the next thing, like trying to improve your EPVM or SERPs. Don’t get sucked into becoming an expert on fb groups for weeks and weeks, just pick a few things to try and check back in periodically.

that's just the search traffic - that blog might get thousands upon thousands of visitors from social media or email; stop looking at semrush, their data is completely irrelevant in most cases;

In your opening post, you talked about how tough it is to get traffic from social media and how the RPM is pretty low, even if people do visit your site.

Honestly, I’d always choose running a real business over blogging. But if blogging is just a hobby for you, go for it. Just know that blogging with ads isn’t the best business model out there.

It's a side hustle, but GOD... I want it to be so much more. That's why I am not letting it go. I am investing in social media, building a newsletter and all that crap.

Problem

1. Don't rely on free traffic
2. Free traffic takes time

Solution

Learn how to get paid traffic

In the event that you center around your substance and consistently rank a portion of those substance in web search tools then leisurely things will begin to get to the next level.

Try Quora or Reddit if you get viral you can drive lot's of traffic.

As if you had to be forced to do that on Google. Who forces you to play on the hardest site that is out there.
You see, this is for big players, like moderators and administrators of this forum.
An average person like me or you will get lost there because it's extremely hard to make money using just text. ;)

Anything else will be easier. Think of videos -> 24 unique images in motion a second (24 fps) -> good titles and keywords (millions of those available).

Try YouTube. Just use relevant, fresh, unique content. I have 1000 visits to each blog post from one video. That gives me $3 automatically. I repeat that 1000 times, that gives me $3k daily.

You might assume you know something, but really, nobody knows anything. What you're doing just isn't useful. You need to do more useful things and question whatever you're doing - split test everything - if something doesn't work on google, test 50 different things on 50 different big sites. You see, you can create so many combinations and ideas. Once you train ideation, you get good at it. You see.

You need to be authentic. You can't copy other people and put it into your self. Toss it. You're vulnerable to opinions of other people. Think every single thing for yourself.

Amazing.

With all the experts giving their 1 cents worth, no one has asked you -

WHAT IS THE NICHE ?

A niche is the exact same thing as a "tightly defined demographic"

Once you know the demographic, you can define the product

Once you define the product to sell you can sell it to the customers in your niche

And your articles must feed that niche.

Know the 3 Rules of Marketing -

You have to have a hook (Social media, Youtube Video, Paid ad, Forum Post, Organic SEO)

You have to have a product as good as or better than the competition

You HAVE TO GIVE AWAY A FREE TOY

The giveaway creates the connection to the customer

Giveaway an ebook, a paperback book that they pay for shipping, a PLR course from PLRDatabase.net

You need SOMETHING TO GET THEIR EMAIL address. Only then do you have a customer.

Don't be in the "views" or "followers" business

Be in the money making business

Read my previous articles

Sincerely,

The Eye

PS. It sounds like you need education. Search BHW for "mega" and find a training course dump on mega.nz

And try the courses at the share site WSODownloads.in. Look for "agency, "authority" "youtube" "tiktok"

This niche I think attracts a lot of idiots? So maybe it's easy. I saw that really dumb content works well in it. Don't make anything hard to process probably. I'll have to investigate that further. I need easy money because my mother can't afford bills anymore! So I'll allow myself the proposed act of desperation.

These queries are straight retarded. Maybe I'll do a trick "download my extra ebook to make $666.66 a day; I'll give you an ebook if you download a lil app to your phone, sir" - as seen on blackhatworld. Maybe they'll ban me on BHW for that. I don't know.

Mostly idiots showing their face to camera and talking nonsense. Ahh, probably not much is needed to breakthrough. 5 minutes of work?

Try harder. This niche is bottom 1% of worst niches.
