Today, I saw something that I have never saw at Reddit.

I was invited to subreddit by the redditor

It this a new feature?

Possible a new way to obtain the traffic

For instance, if I’ll invite 10.000 people, will I get shadowbanned or will it affect to subreddit?

It was for sometime yes. I am not sure if you have option on pc to do it though. I know that on reddit app you can easily find invite button.

Can we abuse it?

Absolutely. It is a bit tricky as mass inviting will lead to ban but if you have enough accounts to waste you may find a perfect way without much bans.

Hmm to be honest, I haven't really tested yet with larger amount of people but I would assume yes, especially if you invite people with the account that is owner of the subreddit.
I'll test with some of my low sub subreddits and see if it affects them soon.
