Mask your URL with Facebook

I'm not sure whether this is a new method or not but I think it is a good one so everyone can use it for your own URL or affiliate links, etc. It will ask for permission and then will redirect it to your site.

instead of " *****.com " place your domain.

thats a good trick but if you give it a second that why would someone that just clicked your link on blog or whatever click accept to get your landing page

your initial ctr will drop by 80% because people will not understand why they are on facebook

You have a point, but because FB is trustworthy and the chance of clicking is higher.

The FB trust factor is slowly sliding so the chance of them clicking is not that much higher. Also, this just adds another point of failure (adding another step to the click through) to get to your conversion, email capture, etc.

This isn't new as already mentioned, and I definitely WOULD NOT recommend using this.

I've seen this shared numerous times before. This isn't a URL masker, its just a URL shortener with a gateway. The chance of clicking might be higher but it definitely wouldn't compensate for the amount of people scared off by the gateway.
