So i've all but given up on my hopes of cashing in on youtube videos.

I had a plan of downloading popular videos and re-uploading them watermarked with my url

i even brought a watermarking software

The problem is when I watermark a video

the file gets friggen huge

I had one go from 10.5mb to almost a gig

and I can't upload them to youtube . . . I've left it uploading for hours and nothing.

I know this can be profitable but it's not working for me.

Is it normal for the watermaring software to balloon the file size like that?

Is my hard drive just to small to handle the reupload. Its an old comp only a 40 gig hard drive.

But its functional and I have dsl connection..

Can someone please help me I really want to make this work.

I have video watermark factory

well i already purchased mine awhile ago . . .does yours balloon the file size?

for the love of God, convert your video to FLV before you upload it!

Well If you are intersted I can do the things for you.

It will cost you.

buddy its because your choosing AVI that its doing that, choose to convert to another file type, flv, wmv, mov etc

I just started using Camt@sia tonight and found it layed out pretty much like Windows Movie Maker. VERY easy to use, I recommend highly to give that a try. It makes watermarking and putting titles on very easy.

Yeh Camtasia is cool. You can record videos as well with it.

is anybody having probs with video watermark factory? i downloaded the trial and i get a 'mwf has stopped working' error...

on the same note, i have camtasia....how do you edit flv clips with it?

okay if your looking for your videos to keep their quality download the K-Lite Codec Pack then download virtual dub mod the file size will be the same if not smaller while keeping the same quality i have found this to be the best method best thing about it is you can run jobs it batch mode and with small videos for youtube this shouldnt take long at all depending on how many videos you do if you have lot i suggest doing it while you sleep

hope it helps

Well, after all experimentations, I have become a master at watermarking. I tried video watermark factory and believe it should rest in its factory forever. I use tmpgenc Xpress. When I have flv codec installed on my machine, it accepts any type of file thrown at it, that is not only from youtube which are essentially flv files. Through it filter edit feature you can easily watermark it. You have complete control over the resolution size. The most important factor is its amazing speed of conversion. You can upload wmv or avi file for maximum compatibility. Youtube will convert it into flv for you. Never had any problems and all my files are there.

I have downloaded video converter and heard its great. Have not used it yet but you can try it first before anything else.

As far as converting videos, I have had good luck with YouTube Downloader. It will download videos from youtube, but also will convert any video on your hardrive to a number of formats.

I have also used Video Watermark Factory, its easy to use, and depending on the video works quite well. Oh the other hand, I have had some videos that after watermarking look blurry. Gonna try recommendation from Penoyvid above, Super Video Converter.

My 2cents

Moyea FLV to Video Convertor -> highly recommended for watermarking scraped YouTube videos en masse.
