Can we use Postback URL as conversion event?

In Facebook conversion event, Can we use our CPA networks Postback URL. Facebook allow it?
Facebook does not directly support the use of third-party CPA (Cost Per Action) network postback URLs within its standard conversion tracking setup.

Facebook's conversion tracking and attribution methods:
  • Facebook Pixel: The primary method for tracking conversions on Facebook is through the Facebook Pixel. This JavaScript code is added to your website to track visitor actions and send this data back to Facebook.
  • Offline Conversions: For offline events, Facebook allows you to upload data through their offline conversions API or manually through CSV files. This can include purchase data, in-store visits, etc.
  • Server-Side API: Facebook also offers a server-side API (Conversion API) which allows you to send conversion data directly from your server to Facebook.

hi @seosmartsolvers
If you want to connect conversion information to facebook you need to find an affiliate network that supports pixel or facebook conversion API

You can definitely use your CPA network's postback URL as a conversion event in Facebook. Facebook allows this and it's a common practice for tracking conversions accurately. Just make sure your postback URL is properly set up and that it's firing correctly after a conversion. You can also use a tool like Google Tag Manager to help you manage your postback URLs.

From what I’ve seen, Facebook doesn’t directly accept a CPA network postback URL as a conversion event. Usually you’d need an affiliate network that supports Facebook Pixel or the Conversion API, or set up a bridge/tracking solution to pass the data correctly.

Yes, you can use postback/conversion tracking with Meta Platforms ads, but it usually needs proper server-side setup (Conversions API) not just a raw CPA postback URL. Make sure tracking follows Meta policies and accurately passes conversion data to avoid account or attribution issues.

Yes you can use CPA postback, but usually you need to route it through your tracker or server to match Facebook events properly, direct use does not always work cleanly.
