I understand this issue isn't very clear-cut, but here's what I can say on this.
Technically, it couldn't be proven that the transaction began on BHW if you did not contact the seller on the forum or post in their thread prior to contacting them on an off-forum platform. Ideally, to protect yourself as best you can in the case of a dispute, you should contact the seller on the forum first to at least confirm it is them and you have got their contact correct.
However, in this case, we will allow you to simply include screenshots of the seller's post on their sales thread directing you to Telegram, and their handle. Additionally, any screenshots of the chat you had with the seller that references the BHW listing or their reputation on BHW would be useful, as well.
For future transactions, we highly recommend keeping all communications as close to BHW as possible, at least until the transaction's terms are fully agreed upon. If a seller insists on moving to external platforms, you should get a written acknowledgment of the deal’s connection to BHW early in the conversation.
