Problem with Google maps location sharing

I tried sharing my friends location to keep track of them.

But after 24hrs or more it just stopped tracking their location, I literally use this option



But it still goes off after a while, what could be the problem?..

On some phone models, background app refresh might be restricted for Google Maps. This can limit the app's ability to continuously update your friend's location. Check phone's settings to ensure background refresh is enabled for Google Maps.

I do not see any other option for that.

I don't remember, there's an option somewhere in whatsapp, friend showed me, used this once. Find a tutorial on youtube or something.

Yeah, I've seen it.
Both are worst, Whatsapp only can share for 8hours max
Google maps shares for 24hrs max

Check on the permitions of the app, let's say you are conecting to whatssap for the frist time and ask you for permission to see your contacts you have a yes or no but with location you have three options, only this moment, while using the app and no, while using the app it works until the cellphone kill the process in the background, go to the app permission and in location click always that should fix it, at least for me that worked but will defentely consume a little bit more of battery not a big difference to cause a problem.

I need something that'll share locations for longer time, Whatsapp only works for 8hrs
