reaaski BANNED ?

It is a temporary ban, he will be back when he calmed down a bit I guess.
Is he a bot?

The few times he's replied my posts I noticed something, his replies are often times disjointed. Paragraphs that do not relate to each other. Sometimes I excuse it as an issue/challenge associated with not speaking English natively.
But it makes discussions with him tiring.

I like him too
but it's something like "banner blindness"
"Banner blindness is a phenomenon in web usability where visitors to a website consciously or unconsciously ignore banner-like information. A broader term covering all forms of advertising is ad blindness, and the mass of banners that people ignore is called banner noise."

I just have reaaski blindness in The Lounge xD :D

that guy just talks and talks, doesn't even have a clue what the thread is about and comments. Pretty annoying behavior that really annoys me when I come across to his posts.

That is all we are doing with him as to the temp ban... he is good people but sometimes he has a little trouble staying centered.
So he didn't break any ToS and you banned him because you think he needs time off the forum for his mental health?

With all due respect, and I obviously don't know the history between you all, but that seems messed up. I hope you're at least communicating with him.

I've analyzed that guy he seems intelligent and some of his ideas are good, some are even really good.
But most of them, sometimes even the really good ones are superficial, as if he's onto something but can't verbalize it / put it into action.

2 theories (which actually go hand in hand):

1. Either he got into the habit of typing out all those things cause he likes it for the mental exercise + he enjoys the activity of sitting at the computer and typing. (and maybe he did it so much that his brain got used to doing that really well and it's all on autopilot now)

2. Or he may just be narcissistic and he enjoys the attention and the "image" he can form of himself based on his presence here -- and if you know anything about narcissists the way they form their identity is through external means and it actually helps them do certain things better. If for example everyone started replying to his threads and started calling him stupid and pointing out the flaws and really insisted on the idea of him not having anything good to offer, and if people did it long enough, he'd actually get worse at having those ideas IRL. Maybe BHW is just his outlet for that sort of thing because it involves other people as opposed to writing down your thoughts on a notepad.

Either way, seems like a decent guy imo and I may be wrong.

Imagine if the only *friends* he has are people on BHW.
Exactly, it's actually very common nowadays. For quite a lot of people an online community is all they have and it can mean the world to them, losing that just because some people find you annoying would be terrible.
Personally I didn't find him annoying at all. Sure, some posts were a bit scatter-brained and if they were too long I'd skip them but overall he was adding to the forums value (certainly more than all the chatgpt bots and what not).

But again, I don't know the full picture of course, just the way it was put now it seemed like an arbitrary/high-handed decision.

Your opinion is noted.

We've noticed some concerns from many of you regarding this member's temporary ban. We want to take a moment to address these concerns openly and ensure that our community understands the principles guiding our moderation.

To start, the decision to temporarily ban a member is never taken lightly and it often comes after careful consideration of the broader context of the member’s posts within the community.

In this particular case, the temporary ban was based on a pattern of behaviour that seemed to disrupt the constructive discourse that we strive to uphold. It is important to note that while the actions may not have explicitly violated any single rule, the cumulative effect raised concerns about the overall community atmosphere.

With that said, we're closing this thread because it's not necessary to have one up whenever someone is temporarily banned.
