hey there i don't know how it's work but,

I’m currently on a React.js journey from zero to expert, and it’s been around three years now. The initial years were challenging; coding seemed tough, but I dedicated countless days and nights to honing my skills. Now, I’ve completed ten full-stack apps solely in React.js, three in Next.js, and countless projects in HTML and CSS. It’s been a wild ride, but now everything feels clear, manageable, and straightforward.

I can confidently create any type of app, whether it’s AI, SaaS, WordPress, e-commerce, or landing pages. I guess I might be advertising myself here, but that’s just how far I’ve come!

These days, I have a few developers working with me, handling various tasks. To keep my skills sharp, I still take on some projects myself, and it’s all going great.

Now, I’m embarking on a new venture: an e-commerce business. Any tips?

Plenty of problems "awaiting".

I can confidently create any type of app, whether it’s AI, SaaS, WordPress, e-commerce, or landing pages. I guess I might be advertising myself here, but that’s just how far I’ve come!

Your confidence is gonna lose you. You cannot be confident in mixing styles and tools.
You have to stick to one programming paradigm.
What you're doing is getting yourself lost and confused. It's a one way ticket and then you'll be shocked what happened that it's been 10 years and you're still stuck at an average payment.

If you ask me about frontend frameworks, marketing automation wise they're useless. You cannot write any powerful code at frontend. There's no need for it in this. And if you posted some lies in your OP post, remember to not deceive yourself because we're super good at deceiving ourselves then we regret that. Think of power of C or Python. With C or Python if you're wise about it, you can automate 99% of frontend tasks because frontend is full of repeatable patterns and I can tell you this can be automated. Respect human hours and send them some real work which requires real problem solving. That'll pay off for the whole society if we focus on doing engineering instead of buying into corporate stacks.

If your goal is to impress stakeholders and not be happy about the skills long term, you can disregard everything I said.

A problem is that if you use React - that's declarative and bound to React ecosystem that acts like a kid with ADHD.
Node.js - it has both sync and async methods. Now you have a lot of choice. You can create some C and JS intertwined hell there.
Then mongodb - hell to start with.
And also Express - who needs a server!

Build an app without a server and focus on power. I use sqlite to avoid servers. ;P And I know my modules will never grow cause there's micro-modules and splitting of concerns.

I meant to say node.js is completely fine as long as you don't abuse its features like asynchronicity and for web apps check nest.js https://nestjs.com/

But remember, React is not where the power is. That's all I wanted to say. Don't waste your time on things that don't bring the cash in. There's a ton of novice coders who can do React for you. Just give them style guide that's like 10 points and they will do that for you even at internship level cause React is okay for those people 'who don't think too much' and simply learn. It's not good for people who understand what power could really be and how React or smth like that limits you. Basically using it is time consuming and it's too declarative programming (telling programs what to do instead of how to do). It's created by Meta (Facebook) and those guys are not the best in the league if you ask me.

I would check options such as PUG, Jquery, HTMX or even Angular. But you probably won't need much for an e-commerce in terms of UI. So don't spend too much time on it and I'd outsource that for like $3 an hour.

And for e-commerce, you really don't need to code much. Probably Magento or even Woocommerce or Shopify would be enough.

You want to focus on your inventory and clients in e-commerce. This is more marketing related in e-commerce.

If you want to do something software heavy, maybe consider automation like instagram publishment / youtube uploading / content creation.
