Hi guys, I have a question about buying a hosting with paypal. I wanted to know if you can pay hostgator with an unverified paypal account.

Hostgator doesn't seem to have a problem with it, but I am concerned about paypal. I have seen that a lot of users here really don't like paypal, so I wouldn't be surprised if they would cause problems.

Any help or experience that you can share would be appreciated.

paypal might just suddenly reverse all your payments and limit your account. They tend to do that with most new accounts... you'll lose your hosting in the process...

I've seen that happen twice to me.. the only benefit is that I get all the cash that I have paid for- disadvantage- I lose domains and hosting accounts in the process.

That's really bad, then how are you guys paying for the hosting?

Paypal account also can be verified by DEBIT card (must have visa/mastercard logo)

as long as ur spending limit is not hit, u can use ur Paypal to pay for it :)

You can verify paypal using credit or debit card... or can do it through vcc like entropay which is very easy to do... Why risk your account because of unverified paypal...

You can even pay for hostgator through your card... They are good company and you should not have any problem attaching your paypal or card with them...

They call it gaypal for a reason, that should answer your question. I'd use my debit or credit card if I was you and didn't want to have any headaches.
