I am a trained bank clerk, I worked for 5-6 years for one of the biggest banks in Germany, then in consultancy for banking for 5-6 years as a manager, for HSBC as a manager, and now I'm self-employed.
-> that doesn't bring me much.

I made big failures.
I lost a lot of money, couldn't sleep, and swearing to stop trading, Corona came. I made 6-digit wins with some Stocks. I know fundamental and technical chart analysis, and I am very interested in investment banking.

How I stop from overtrading? At some point, you NEED()! to realize that your earnings are enough!
In Germany there is a sentence called "Gier frisst hirn", translated: Greed eats the brain.
Simply means: don't think that you are making more and more.

There needs to be a time when you go outside.
Dont listen to much on people who are hyping; they distract you.
Look at your Portfolio, then at others.
Set your own goals.

Do you think the Youtubers and Stock-Gurus are just there because they want to help you? No, they want their own profit.
Plain vanilla.

You've been sold a lot of BS. From ICT to HFT, it's all complete and utter BS.

You're not going to be doing HFT as a retail trader. Do you have servers located next to your broker, connected via Infiniband Fiber? (note: didn't say fiber, said Infiniband Fiber becasue your run of the mill networking isn't fast enough). Are these servers overclocked and water-cooled? Do they have CPU's that run a set frequency and don't throttle up/down? because that would mess with the HFT timing ... No? Then guess what you ain't doing. HFT.

All these "HFT bots" are total BS. You're not even close to being in the realm of High Frequency Trading and as a retail player, you will never touch HFT.

Yes, I'm funded, many times over. I also have my own capital and trade Stocks, Options, Futures, FX, & Crypto. Let's just say it's a large enough operation where I needed to incorporate offshore (more for regulations than tax benefits, TBH I don't give a shit if they tax me as I don't exactly work hard for my money). I started trading back when MetaTrader 4 was a new piece of software in 2005, at the time continued to re-sell things as I knew that, moved onto porn sites for a few years, dabbled in crypto mining for a few years, and now back to full time trading. I use algos that trade for me because I don't care to deal with psychology or hiring people. I'd rather have my racks of servers at home, and rent dedicated ones, then treat the bots as if they're my employees. New bots get a small account, they do good then they get more money, they do bad they get fired, pretty simple and they don't ask for time off, they don't bug me with BS, they never have an "off day".

If you want to make good money trading that's certainly possible. BUT you can't treat it like a side gig. You can't go on YouTube and believe the BS. I mean just think about it, if 90% of people lose money then why are you taking advice from the 90%? You can't trade like a loser and expect to win. ICT is about the biggest F*ing loser there is, and you seem to be following him.

I disagree to this part. I follow him and learning from his methods. And am getting success using his fvg/ifvg / macro.SB methods.

Its better you fund your own account and keep all the profit to yourself. If you planning to stay in trading for long time, your own account is much better. There FT firms, they are not that reliable.

I am not taking others advice here. Just knowing their experiences. ICT / HFT works. ICT for Pa's and HFT for Evals. One example for that is
I know this guy who made 6k from one FT's account. We started almost at same time and we are following similar straetgy in trading. The advantage he is having over me is he is more stronger psycologically than me. He s a settled man and he dont care about loosing one eval, thats not the case with me. Emotions plays with me when i trade. Last friday too, I was up with 167$ per account before 10am EST. But I restarted trading again and ended up in -57$ per account.

Down the road, even those who pass, end up losing. Mostly due to greed.

They can't give you real trading account. To do that, they have to get regulated and get a license. All of them pay you in prize money. Read the fine print and do some research.

Not all behave in the manner you stated. Some like FTMO, Fundednext do give real trading account and a lot of people have made withdrawals from them
