I have a top-rated upwork account. Most of the background is working as a VA, but I've got a couple years in a mid level marketing career and 3 certifications to back it up. I think I'm less than $1,000 away from being top-rated plus, but here lately the work isn't consistent whatsoever. I might get one person write me a day and it's usually a scam or a lowball offer. To bring in more clients, could I use email marketing? Upwork's TOS aside, I feel like it might work. Does anyone else have any experience with something similar? I really need the new clients to come from outside the app because they jacked their connect prices so high over the last month that I'm forced to bid 20 connects just to get top 4, its ridiculous.
Edit:: If someone invites you to the job, it doesnt cost any connects. Probably should've made that clearer
