Long Term Semi-Passive Income?

Hey y'all.

I've been in and out the IM game for about a decade now. I'm familiar with quite a lot, just looking to get a discussion going and refresh my knowledge.

Here's the "prompt":

You have the capital to fully invest into any IM project that you decide upon. The exact number is not quite relevant because the capital should be considered enough to fully pursue any project whether it's $10k, or $100k.

You aren't looking for "the next big thing", instead, you want to start something that has been proven successful for a decade now, and will continue to be successful for a decade longer without hindrance.

Ideally, the face of the project should run as white-hat, but you will still use black-hat techniques to boost the growth of the project.

It will be a registered tax-paying business, and once you have hit your target mark in annual profits, you will then use those profits to invest into an entirely different activity whether that is a local business, stocks, etc.

The business should be strictly an IM project, and not something else, such as a programmer or influencer project. It should also be able to run semi-passively.

If budget was no real consideration, I'd start a rival for Youtube.

All others who had done it before either ran out of funding or had too poorly coded video options & website structure to combat YT/Google.

I'd put a lot of the funding into coding a Netflix quality site & servers that never fold.

Marketing would be large to start and within the first year I'd look to bring on streaming to combat Twitch, Kick, and YT's streaming section.

I'd give all initial contributors a bigger slice of the ads revenue (once advertisers contacted me and I sifted through the phony offers) than YT and Twitch give.

Create your own SAAS if you have enough knowledge to do that...you can offer some paid tools and charge a monthly subscription

Courses always have great pipeline so yeah. Been thinking of perhaps a physical product, sold digitally. An actual solid product and not just something found of some chinese supplier site.

For me with a decade of IM experience and ample capital, consider starting a niche blog or content website. I guess they offer long-term potential for semi-passive income. Once profitable, reinvest earnings into new ventures like local businesses or stocks. *wink
