I have 4 months old website with 15 articles and my site started gaining traffic after 1+ month and until last week I had 700+ organic visitors per day and I thought I’m gonna rank everyday better and better. But last 10-15 days things changed and I lost 70-80% of my traffic. I keep writing new article every week but I stopped building links last 2 weeks, is that the case behind the problem or there is other problem?

Was it a pure blog or a blog coupled/ complemented with tools, services and products?

Have a look at this blog's stats. This blog was also focused solely on blogging and look how hard they fell. But I do agree that yours was a far steeper fall in terms of the time involved. But my assessment is that Google doesn't want websites that are solely blogs to rank. 1720148418135.png

The most recent thing to occur was a spam date 1 week ago. https://status.search.google.com/incidents/QdUeCQx3LRVbzQ3E7FiD

A deeper explanation of spam updates here: https://developers.google.com/search/updates/spam-updates

It might be the reason because of Google Algorithm Update sometimes you lose your traffic and it may take some days to regain it check on GSC any notification on update

My point of view is you stopped getting backlinks for last 2 weeks may be that might be the impact on the traffic

There are various factors which comes into play. 1st, you have to not write blog just for the sake to rank it should be valuable and relevant or else the blog you have written becomes irrelevant once the specific trend it is written on is no longer in hype. 2nd Do not stop building backlinks

I think it's due to the algorithm updates. Also, check out the external backlinks. If you find anything suspicious, disavow the links and add links from relevant domains. Publishing 1 article per week is not good enough. You need to raise it to 4 to 6 per week.

Have you checked page indexing? Have they fallen out of search results or simply lost positions for your queries?

Recent Google update or content quality issues might be behind your traffic drop, resume link building and conduct a thorough site audit to identify and fix issues.

Bro you can check your website all seo content and other thing's like page indexing etc and improve the all thinga

It does not work like that once you stop building links, check for back link profile if any you see irrelevant remove that article and keep on publishing new articles it will help to reach organic results again.

Google has released an update recently, check if your site got affected, if so try to fix it. Else keep creating posts that give value, and build links regularly.

You were another victim of Google most recent update

First of all, it is still a new site You are working on the site and it's your first Google Update effect so no need to panic

Just check once again all your articles, images, Titles, meta descriptions, and On-page SEO, so optimize them again

Check your backlink profile whether it has any bad links or lost links fix them or remove them and build new external links again to maintain and regain the traffic

Just keep your consistent work and more importantly, check your competitor's site performance too

May I know whats your site Niche about?
