I would like to have an adult site, but how difficult would it be to have a serious project of at least 1 million visits per month minimum?

Is it possible? I mean of course it is possible, but how much money should I invest, apart from hosting, domain, backlinks?

How long would it take to build a site of that caliber?

Maybe it would be better to buy a website already built and with traffic?

Anyone with experience in the subject to give some guidance?

Why someone will sell their established sited with millions traffic? It is like their bread and butter running wanna smash their bread into butter to slip it away.

Apart from caliber sites it would a huge times to get on millions so take it steady and easy run with authoritive sites. What is your expectation daily budget?

You need 2 things:

1. Time - if you do things too fast, you will get Google hit.
2. Money - you will need many strong backlinks for your goal - $10k. at least.

Any project is time and money-dependent, don't expect to have 1mil visits a month in the first year, even if invested the first few thousand dollars
after ads back linking the streaming costs and the licensing will be the biggest hole in your pockets

The amount of money you invest is highly dependent on what you know and what resources, if any, you already have. If you have to outsource everything and you don't know a thing about computers, well you're going to need a lot more money than the nerd with a server rack at home and 5 gig fiber who knows how to manage the servers, build the website, etc.

How long would it take to build a site of that caliber?

How long is a piece of string. Again, what are your skills? If you don't know how to build a website it could take many months, but if you got the skills. Shoot, I could have you running with KVS in under an hour. A couple servers in my 42U at home could support a million a month. That's only 33,333 visits a day, 1,388 an hour, brining your total users on site at any given time to about 231 (bump it to like 500 as users won't be evenly spread out) as the average user stays 10ish minutes. That's a pretty small porn site TBH.

Maybe it would be better to buy a website already built and with traffic?

No one is going to sell you a good website, they'll sell you some WordPress BS with some plugin that can't even support multiple video resolutions. The ONLY way to compete and actually win in porn is your offering needs to be better than the established sites. Can you legitimately make something better than Pornhub? XHamster? etc.

You need a fast website no matter where the user is (assuming you don't geo block, which is something I did. If I couldn't make more than the cost of the user visit then f* off. That's something few people account for, I knew every stat like how much bandwidth each visit used, how much cpu resources they used, how much ram they used, how much disk access, I knew the cost of every visit and if I didn't make money off you, you weren't welcome.)

I ran porn sites, got out of it because crypto mining was a better use of server resources a couple years ago, and then stuck to trading.

Thank you all for your time.

People buy and sell digital assets every day and you know it. The reasons can be endless.

I don't have a clear idea of how much such a project would cost.

Yes probably, I should mention that I don't want to monetize it with ADS.

I have basic/medium knowledge, but I am not an expert. Why should I have my own server for the site?

Yes I understand, I don't want to do anything, I want to delegate everything, I don't have time for this, besides it's not my strong area of expertise (seo or adult industry). Building the site doesn't take time, my concern is backlinks, PBN, initial and monthly investment costs.

Good point. Yes it would be complicated to compete with pornhub. And by the way I don't want to monetize the site with ADS.

Excellent, thank you for adding value and giving me wisdom.

What do you mean by an 'adult site'? Adult incorporates a whole host of niches. Cams, adult dating, porn videos, etc. What exact kind of 'adult site' do you mean.

You're right, I forgot to mention it. I just want to have a Tube Site like pornhub for example.

My honest advice would be don't bother, unless you understand the adult niche very well.

No, I don't understand it very much, that's why I have doubts and I ask here in the forum, besides I would like to hire someone to do everything, I don't want to do it myself.

Building any site up to a million uvs a month (in any niche) is extremely difficult. These are post-HCU days in which ranking for keywords organically is very difficult.

I know many people who have owned adult sites for over 15 years, who don't even get 1 million visitors a month. So you are setting yourself a mountain to climb.

If you have a pot to spend, it might be better just buying an existing site. We have exxisting adult sites for sale, which you can see in my link below.

But my honest advice, knowing this industry pretty much inside out, is don't bother, unless you have a VERY unique selling point.
Ok, I understand. Yes I thought it's like climbing a huge mountain, I don't know if it's worth it. That's why I wanted to ask here and see if I could connect with people in the industry who are working with adult sites right now.

Fully agreed. The adult industry is extremely challenging to rank (some of our clients are using WP-Script, which is decent) in and is highly oversaturated.

Ok, honestly, if you are thinking of starting a tube site from scratch, I wouldn't bother.

+1 this

Unless you have some really really unique niche to tap into with content creators not found every where else ripped on 1000 tube sites it's a bad industry to try to enter. Not to mention the hassle of legal issue of verifying content and being spammed as a tube site.

Do you think that even with a PBN and a minimum investment of 5k to 10k in backlinks is not a good idea?

Video importers are good? I have been told that they are not a good idea.

I'm telling you to put it out of your mind. lol The internet is saturated with tubes, about 1.4 million results if you search for 'adult tube site' . You have almost no chance of success with a tube. Mindgeek own the tube space, Google gives their sites all the rankings, Google won't even give you the time of day with your new tube clone. Unless it is micro-niche content, and even that's hard to establish.

Believe me, I've been working in this specific industry since 2006. I'm only trying to save you your hard-earned pennies. If you think you can succeed where 999,000 other tube owners fail, then work away . ;)

PS .I launched a tube in 2006, that was before even Youporn had got established, so I know a little bit about tubes.

Thanks bro, great support. I'll put the project aside then because I'll end up broke.

You need some serious cash and time to pull that off. Might be easier to buy something already rolling, but watch out for scams.

That's the point bro...

If you import the same content people can find on tube sites with millions in funding then you can't win even a margin of the traffic. You need a source of unique adult content so you earn a niche base that will frequent your tube site so bulk importers are a no. Adult PBN are notoriously bad quality and not easy to find a scaling service in that quantity. You are better to niche it down and promote it in chat or social with cut off content directing them to the main tube site.

Well, I agree that you should understand how to do things.

But the problem is you're scaring people to advertise your service calling things "extremely hard".

Do you know what is extremely hard? Risking your life or scaling 10 companies at the same time.

If your dumb sites are "extremely hard", I don't know what is building companies. Super ultra extremely mega hard?

Now, get out.

The problem why it is so hard is that 99% of times it's trash like that site you linked.

yes, honestly, put your hard-earned cash towards something else. :) If you do have $5k to invest in the adult niche, Adult dating is e a much better idea. You can launch a white-label site (I run several) for next to nothing, by partnering with the big white label providers. You will need to probably buy traffic to your site, as organic rankings are extremely tough, but that can still be very profitable. in terms of ROI.

You don't even know how to make a decent site. What are you talking about?

You have weak marketing angles to turn this thread into your sales thread.

It's not 2005 when you had a domain from 1999 and you could rank under 10 million keywords.

Times have changed and anyone who thinks some domain names are the only thing that matters, should visit a doctor and tell them about living in the past and that their past is influencing them in a negative way.

Like people think that some domain name justifies everything they do. It's like those instagramers that got 2m followers but dance naked in front of camera and think their follower count justifies their trash.

---

My suggestion is to not rank adult sites cause it's:

1. Shitty niche which pays shitty money.
2. It's not worth ranking black hat keywords.
3. You simply do a large site and grab some traffic from all around the internet.
4. You don't focus on single keywords, but traffic in general.

That's it. You don't need to do any SEO if you only need traffic.

Even if you reach that 1m visitors monthly, there's still no guarantee you'd make decent money. :(
If you can't automate it fully, don't touch it. It's what black hat is. Full automation or don't play.

You'd have to build a PBN, probably automate that too which most people can't even think about.
With black hat niches you do 99% of yourself. There's nobody that'll provide decent links to these niches, unless it's just negative ROI investment like "$1000 per link" lol.

The thing is that you build PBN, it dies after some time. And you need to repeat that process constantly.
It's like super hard to play it long term.

Focus on finding your target audience and what they need, instead of looking at some nonsense like videos where the only people think about is imagery. You want to understand "why am I doing x and y" instead of following some random advice blindly.

Don't make choices based on impressions of other people and opinions. Follow facts that you deduce yourself creating hypotheses in your own google docs. Write down 10 pages and other possibilities. Analyze opportunities. Use tools similar to SWOT analysis and see pros / cons of multiple choices.

I launched an adult tubesite 14 months ago. With no advertising and very little activity on Twitter, the site now has 440k pageviews a month and around 125K unique visitors per month, and this increases every day. At current growth rate, I will be at 800k pageviews a month by the end of the year.

Is this cloudflare analytics or something?

"Both count bots; take both with a pinch of salt."

You just can't make a choice worse than Cloudflare analytics.

I block all bots except Google. And I block all except T1 countries. As you can see, GA has a similar number.
These numbers are also reflected in my affiliate and ad clicks.

GA says about 50k, that another says 120k. So things just get a little bit twisted on Cloudflare.

Just a little bit...

Have your eyes, checked mate, or disengage. My post was for the OP's benefit so that he could ask questions if he wanted to. Really not interested in this pettiness from you.
