One of my websites which I rarely service is showing ADs which are strange to me because I never connected it to any.

Can someone with experience guide me on where to check for the code to remove it?

The AD is totally taking over the homepage and seems the latest Google update favours the website because I'm seeing many visitors due to the chat system notifications

I remember they're was someone sometime ago who paid me to place AD codes for a 1-month test run. He didn't renew it, and I can't remember if I removed it or not.

It's likely this is it since you don't remember removing it.

View your website's source code. Navigate to the section of your website where you see the ads, and see if you can find the ad codes there.

Depending on the ad type, ad codes are typically placed in the header(some Adsense ads) or inside widgets.

If you're able to figure where exactly the ads display on your site, then your problem is mostly solved.

The site is http://www.betondraws.com/
I am not into coding and cant even remember where I placed the code. I remember they lead me when I did it
Do you remember if they just wanted some html/javascript adding to your page, or if they wanted you to edit/insert any php files?

I cant remember details, but whatever it was, I was the one that placed it. I didn't give them access to my website
