How did this site get so many backlinks?

So, I came across this site that is smashing it in Google when I look on SEMRush and it has over 24k domain links and it looks like a lot of article links. Does anyone know how this site might have generated all those backlinks? It must have cost a fortune or is there a tool or service that they might have used?

Totally agree. A proper linkbuilding strategy is built over several months, and at best over a year, as it's quite a long process. But that's the only way to see real results.

Some of their comment links are from 2018. So, it was indeed a long journey until they reached 60+ authority and became one of the top sites in the niche. SEO is a long term game and the short term gains don't last long.
