I usually do $1 PBN links and spammy link blast from smmtribe has 1000 for like $5 . Then free linkindexers, the kind that ping. I also have 1000 followers though and I post in read for read groups asking for comments on it. I've ranked some pretty good keywords with this method. Oh and super important I also internally link mine by topic. And I save them to various lists which you can also build links too. I also built a bunch of spammy links to my profile just to be certain.

Oh yeah, that's what I meant... the links to your medium article. What % of links to the medium article should use the keyword you're targeting?

How many times do you link to the affiliate link, and do you use a domain/shortener to hide the aff link?

So I sent mine to a bridge page, an selection of offers which then links. But you don't have to do this I just did to provide more offers. You can link direct on medium idk I've never had problem but I also don't 100% of articles make just to rank. Medium is such strong domain you can abuse the system pretty good just spam links on what you want to rank for. I find it's still best to use some variety. I usually do a CTA in first paragraph. Then floating link in middle (non contextual) and another at end. Then I also link to my other articles so people will read those. Make sure to save them to lists those are internal links too.

Um just go on marketplace for $1pbn and smmtribe I would Ctrl+f "backlink" and you'll see some options the mix ones I think work best but sometimes I just do the exploit ones. Idk.

Are there any medium parasites in your general niche that are currently ranking? If so, check their backlinks for an idea of what quality you need to be aiming for. If there are existing medium parasites ranking for your chosen keyword then it will be a case of match and exceed - you will need to out-do them on both content and off-page.

Ive done both ways, to my site and to aff link. sometimes can be overnight top spot ive seen. last few articles i wrote didnt go so well, its harder to get into publications now which i think helps them rank.

Usually i just do article with aff links, but you could link back to your site if you wanted. path of least resistance is just aff links.

smmtribe is not my links i wanted to clarify, just a vendor ive used for cheap gsa links. you can do these direct to article in my experience or just do a few cheap pbns and do direct to them. What iwant to try next is to buy some traffic to the backlinks and the referral traffic im told is good for seo.

Never tried. Interesting idea though people do search for ebooks on topics.

I found some free indexing tool on google which was i think building around 400 spammy backlinks to the article, i just used that for now lel

You can do both. Plus every backlink you create you gain experience so it will be constantly be better and better for you.
