if it's accurate, it can boost your site's rankings for long tail keywords even if the content doesn't address those keywords' intent. Google favors authority above everything else lately, so a high DA could potentially translate into better rankings. How can it affect ranking?
I don't think that it does... From what I know DA is mostly related to backlinks and to the popularity of a URL among the other URLs within the same topic / niche. So I don't think that keywords have anything to do with MOZ's DA (but I could be wrong)How it co-relates with keywords?
it only improves the traffic if the DA is high enough and consistent with google's PR to get better rankings, otherwise I don't think that it improves it...Does it improve your website traffic?

DA (if we're talking about MOZ's metric) is a metric invented by MOZ to replace PageRank (google's internal authority evaluation metric) because google have stopped making the PR public:

DA stands for Domain Authority, a metric developed by Moz that predicts the website's ability to rank on search engine results. It's scored out of 100. It doesn't directly impact a website's ranking, but it's been noticed generally that websites with higher DA tend to rank higher on SERPs. As for correlation with keywords; websites with DA rank better for the targeted keywords. DA is just part of the puzzle and getting high DA won't necessarily mean higher traffic. Instead, utilize a holistic SEO approach on on-page and off-page strategies.
DA is a predictive metric for ranking potential, not a direct ranking factor. Higher DA can improve your ability to rank for competitive keywords and increase organic traffic. You can use DA as a benchmark to compare with competitors and guide your SEO strategy.
for me search ranking is always main factor.
I see you have gotten some clear answers on what DA is, I would add that one should not judge quality based solely on this. This metric (and DR) can be manipulated, so be sure you are looking at other factors to assess quality.
