Hey everyone,

I've been using Ezoic for some of my sites for a while now, but I've been struggling with INP scores since they were introduced. I use GeneratePress for most of my blogs, but only the ones on Ezoic are experiencing these issues.

After some research and implementing DebugBear for real user metrics, I noticed that the ad requests from the cookie consent banner are causing the INP problems.

Here's an example:

I've enabled most of the Leap settings regarding scripts and pre-connecting. However, Ezoic support hasn't been helpful—they tend to lecture me about what something means and how their lab tests look different. So, I wanted to ask here if anyone has experienced these problems before and if there's a solution.

I've seen many sites using GeneratePress pass the INP scores, but they seem to run on Nginx, whereas my blogs run on Apache.

The INP problems only occur for me with the consent form. Once it's clicked, every other click is fine, with response times around 5-100 ms. I've also tried different consent forms, but they don't seem to work with Ezoic, even if they're on the list of "IAB Consent Banners" which should theoretically be supported by Ezoic. Ads appear above third-party consent forms and block the buttons.

Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

what you can do is cloak your site, so that when google checks your site, it will show the site WITHOUT THE ads code so it loads faster, but when a real user checks your site, they see the complete site WITH the ad code

that helps in google seeing the site load FAST and rank it higher

It that the only way?
Is there no other way to make the ad request just faster?
Because there are enough sites on Ezoic with Ads that actually do run fast enough.
Is INP not also based on user metrics from Chrome etc.?
So cloaking in that case might not even work.

well, if you show google your site without showing ads, it will load FAST, so google will think your site is fast and increase accordingly

the only ones that will see your site slower is your users/audience
