Which Niche to Choose

Hi Everyone, I have been working on an online forum to connect people around the world. I am a bit confused these days about which topic to start with. Here are a few that I am thinking about and would need your kind help in choosing one for my forum.

1. Data Analytics (specifically for People Analytics) - Seems interesting and have some knowledge about this niche but I tried posting some articles before and haven't seen people getting engaged. I am in some WhatsApp Groups, but people seem to be more interested in asking queries on WhatsApp or Telegram rather than coming to a forum and interacting.
2. Culture, Community, or Location Specific - This niche gets some traction, but usually dies out soon and the people that I am targeting are way too small in numbers and most of them again have a WhatsApp group where they feel much easier to connect.
3. Digital Marketing - Havent tried it ever
4. Tech & Hacking - Know about some content, but I am not sure if sharing hacking tricks and content will make any difference. Especially if I share tips to keep one safe from hackers.
5. Content Writers Forum - Where Content writers can write content and they will receive feedback from other users, but obviously they would prefer to write on their own websites or on medium.

I am a bit confused about which niche should I focus on. Can you please share some ideas as to what I should I focus on? I understand that forums are not that popular these days, but I want to tap this puddle.

Currently the forum that I have developed is a bit cluttered with everything that I explained above and hence I would need your kind help to get decluttered,

What's in it for them? Why would they sign up and keep interacting?

Maybe it would be better to work on specific niche blogs rather than a forum, but from what you wrote, you seem to want to work specifically on a forum.

If that's the case, you will need to do some research on how much traffic and competition your targeted niches are and choose one that has low competition and a decent search volume.
Create unique and helpful content that they won't be able to easily find elsewhere, they always need a reason to come to your forum instead of searching the web.

Thanks, JKimRoot, will try to work on this again. Tried for 2 years last time, but wasn't focused on this niche specifically. This time I will try to be specific to a community.

Wanted to understand from you what niche would you have focused on if you were working on a forum?

The search volume will give you an idea on how many are interested in that niche.
Keyword difficulty will tell you how easy it is for you to rank for these keywords.

There's another important question, does search engines give priority to blog articles over forum ones or not.
I'm not an SEO Expert, so I cannot answer it.

Thanks for the help. I believe forums that specifically focus on long-type content perform good than short-answer types. The structure of my forum makes it easy to post long posts or threads that can be ranked using Google News. There is a community chat room that acts as a group interaction area.

So, threads behave like a simple blog post but have access to anonymous comments and ratings which kind of makes it look like a single-thread forum ...

In my view, everything about Culture/Community/Location has migrated to social media, while professionals still tend to remain in forums (such as this, for example). So I'd advise going with some profession-related niche, such as Data Analytics or Content Writing - but the competition in these may be high for sure
