you need backlinks with High Pagerank themselves especially. SEO and PR are just something that you have to continuously work at, and it often takes a long time to see results.

PR Is created by backlinks. That's what the algorithm is totally based on. The original Page Rank developed by Larry Page was the primary basis for the Google SE when it was first created.
The SE algorithm has been refined over time and PR is no longer the primary factor used by Google, but it's still very important in determining the value of the links pointing to your site. The actual PR algorithms are still Top Secret within Google, but you can get a good understanding of how it works by looking at the original published Page Rank algorithm.

and if you search google you can get a lot more information, not only about the original algorithm but changes that SEO experts have determined based on experimentation. This is a good idea so you can understand why your doing what everyone is recommending.
Unless you're planning to sell your site, or you want to sell advertising on your site, PR isn't anything you really need to worry about for your own site. But you do want to track down high PR on other sites. If you want good ranking in the SERPS then you'll get the best results if you have backlinks from those high PR sites.
1. The most valuable would be high PR sites with relevant content.
2. Next most valuable would be either random high PR sites, or low PR sites with relevant content (everyone doesn't agree which is better).
3. And last would be random low PR sites that aren't relevant.
If you have numerous sites under your control, then gaining PR for your own pages becomes more of a goal, because you can then use those high PR sites for backlinks to your other projects.
The main thing you need to remember regarding PR, is that you want as many backlinks from sites that are relevant to your own, and make as many of those be from high PR sites. If you concentrate on that you'll definately see better results than just randomly blasting out backlinks.
This is just a basic guideline which leaves out other important factors such as follow tags. You'll want to learn more about that as well to get the best backlinking results.

that is right... If you can get a single backlink from a PR8 page, your PR for that page will be PR7 .... thats how it works.
Yup! that sounds about right to me :silly:

Well that sure does make it seem easy.
If you were the only outbound link from the high PR site, then its possible. Especially if the high PR site is relevant to yours. If you can find a backlink like that jump on it.
It's much more likely that you'll be just one of many links, and so the resulting PR you get from a backlink on a single high PR site isn't guaranteed.
This does bring up the issue of PR vs SERP though. Say you did get one powerful link from a PR6 page that did raise your page to a PR4 or PR5, that isn't necessarily going to get you a good position in the SERP. If you had another site that had backlinks from many PR0, a few PR2, PR3, and PR4 pages, even if the combined effect only raised your page to a PR2, that page is still more likely to do well in the SERP. As far as that goes, I have PR0 sites that have better position than PR4 or PR5 sites for the keywords I'm targetting.
It is true though, that you're backlink building will be better off with a smaller number from high pr sites, than it will with massive amounts from low pr sites. As always of course, the more relevant the better.

What actually determines PR... still a big question to many webmasters.
its means backlinks not much support may b w3c velidation
tags,update site,keywords,tittle tag,meta tag,hyper links with keywords these thing will help us
without these thing we cant get long time PR.if we will think backlinks will give us huge backup for pr then way we cant use xrumer blaster its give us huge list of backlinks but it will b blackhat tools and may b banned my site in google at least we cant say any thing which thing is good and best and which is only single thing wich will give us good pr whats u say

DO the SEO by submitting your sites to directories, do follow blogs...
forum profiles are also good to get highr page rank... But remember that you are submitting to high PR wesites not less than 3. with in next update your site will be ranked 1 or 2 definetly.
