Publishing articles on HubPages can be challenging due to their strict quality standards and content guidelines. If your articles are not being published, here are several potential reasons and solutions to address these issues:
Common Reasons for Rejection
Content Quality
Grammar and Spelling Errors:
Ensure your articles are free from grammatical errors and typos. Use tools like Grammarly to help with proofreading.
Formatting Issues: Properly format your articles with clear headings, paragraphs, and bullet points where necessary. Avoid large blocks of text.
Originality
Plagiarism:
Your content must be original. Do not copy from other sources. Use plagiarism checkers to ensure your content is unique.
Duplicate Content: Even if the content is yours, avoid republishing articles that have already been published elsewhere.
Topic Relevance and Interest
Niche Relevance:
Make sure your articles fit within HubPages’ topics of interest. Articles that do not align with popular niches may be rejected.
Engagement: Write on topics that are likely to engage readers. HubPages prefers content that is informative, interesting, and valuable to its audience.
Compliance with HubPages’ Policies
Content Guidelines:
Familiarize yourself with HubPages' content guidelines. Avoid prohibited topics such as overly promotional content, adult content, or sensitive subjects.
Advertising and Links: Avoid excessive self-promotion or including too many affiliate links. HubPages has strict policies on outbound links to prevent spam.
Article Length and Depth
Word Count:
Ensure your articles are of sufficient length. HubPages typically favors articles that are at least 700-1,200 words.
Depth and Detail: Provide detailed, in-depth information. Articles that are too superficial or lack substance may be rejected.
Multimedia Elements
Images and Videos:
Include relevant images, videos, and other multimedia to enhance your content. Ensure you have the rights to use these media and credit the sources appropriately.
Image Quality: Use high-quality images. Avoid pixelated or irrelevant pictures.
Solutions and Best Practices
Revise and Proofread

Carefully revise your articles for any grammatical, spelling, or formatting errors.
Consider getting a second opinion from a colleague or using online writing communities for feedback.
Focus on Originality
Write unique content and use tools like Copyscape to check for plagiarism.
Provide a fresh perspective or new information on the topic.
Engage Your Audience
Choose topics that are trending or frequently searched for within your niche.
Use engaging writing styles and storytelling techniques to capture the reader’s interest.
Follow HubPages’ Guidelines
Thoroughly read and adhere to HubPages’ content and community guidelines.
Avoid any content that could be seen as controversial or against their policies.
Enhance Article Depth
Expand on your topics by including more detailed information, examples, and case studies.
Break up long articles with subheadings and bullet points to make them easier to read.
Incorporate Quality Multimedia
Use high-quality, relevant images and videos to support your content.
Properly attribute any third-party media you include.
Conclusion
To increase the chances of your articles being published on HubPages, ensure they meet the platform's quality standards and guidelines. Focus on producing original, engaging, and well-formatted content that adds value to the readers. Regularly reviewing and refining your work based on feedback can also help improve your publication success rate.
I already followed all the guidelines, still I can't see Publish button.

I can't see publish button.
If I see a button, it will not work.
maybe you have a browser extension that disables / hides the button, try disabling all extensions and check again... Or maybe your content is not long enough, I have seen this in the past on other platforms, so copy-paste a random 1000+ words article into the box and see if the button appears...

Or, you know, just contact HB support and ask them what's wrong :)

Sure...
I'll check that. Thanks a lot.

In most cases it is because of the hub's quality. The content is not permitted on the site if it is too short, poor English, spammy, or low quality. Try making any quality adjustments and check by submitting it again.

It's very hard to place there, even if you follow the instructions.

Check if your article meets their quality standards. They can be pretty strict about grammar, structure, and originality. If you’re sure everything is in order, try reaching out to their support.
