EDIT: I am posting from a proxy; hence the poor formatting and lack of paragraphs.
Over the past few days, I've been learning the ins and outs of keyword research using Market Samurai. My plan is to follow peter2002's method of creating a freebie for keywords with low/medium competition, getting opt-ins and building my list while redirecting to a related Click Bank offer.
I have a few questions, however.
Michelle McPhearson suggests that a good niche keyword is something that is above 100 SEOT and 5% PBR while remaining 10000 Title Competition and below 100000 SEO Competition. What exactly constitutes a good keyword for peter2002's method specifically?
Additionally, what is the most backlinked site I should be looking to knock off from Google's top 10?
Should I stick to those niches whose top 10 sites have below 100 backlinks or should I be more ambitious and aim higher?
Should I even be focusing on SEO?
Could I accomplish this method purely through other means such as article marketing and coupon sites which redirect to my freebie?
I apologize if my questions are newbish. It's just some of the keywords I'm looking at will cost me $10+ for their domains; I don't want to waste that kind of money on an avoidable problem.
Any and all feedback would be appreciated.
