Sending links via DM

I send the link of the post I shared to encourage my followers to comment and increase interaction, but sometimes this seems to slow down the actual speed. How does the algorithm perceive sending a link via DM? Are "check out my last post" type messages better?

Sending link via dm can provide traffics from active leads but will need many warmup accounts for this task
